The restaurant is very small and cozy! The bread they bring out before your meal is delicious. I wish the olive oil and cheese they provided for dipping had some herbs as well. My family has Caribbean palates so we were unsure of what to order. We eventually decided and were pleasantly surprised when the food came out. Everything was plated beautifully and the food tasted okay. Service was okay- no complaints but nothing stood out to push it over average.

Kicked off The Restaurant Association Metropolitan Washington’s (RAMW) WinterRestaurant Week(Jan. 16-22, 2023)at Bellissimo’s in Fairfax. This restaurant has always been one of my favorites. The atmosphere is cozy and the food is wonderful. There is a three course fixed price menu this week for Restaurant Week which offers a lot to choose from. I really enjoyed the Tiramisu which was a perfect way to end the meal. This restaurant also seems to be popular for special occasions. While there I noticed one table with a large bouquet of roses and saw another large group sitting in a small more private room. Finally, there is free parking in a lot less than a block from the restaurant which is very convenient. Enjoy!

Everything was delicious! My wife and I had the Cesar Salad, Toretto Mozzarella, House Wine, Lamb Shank, Crabmeat Ravioli, and a double order of Chocolate Mousse. Finished everything! My wife especially loved the Braised Lamb Shank, very tender meat. Service was on point, no complaints at all. I recommend everyone to try Bellísimo Restaurant, you won’t be disappointed.

Food was pretty good. The wine was eh. We got the house bottle. The mussels were tasty so was the calamari. Great appetizers to share with the table. I love the bread and Parmesan cheese to start. We went pretty late and they were accommodating. My dish tasted pretty much like butter. The veals were really good.

Returned recently for a 75th birthday gathering. Guest of honor raved about the choice of location — authentic Italian food, engaging staff, and a small business (rather than a soulless chain). In the days leading up to the meal, we had to call twice to adjust the party size. Both times the restaurant was exceedingly flexible and appreciative of the two-way communication. We’ll dine there again soon.

My husband and I came here for the first time for restaurant week. They only served what was on that menu. We didn’t mind since that’s why we went. They were very busy!! The wait for the food was long but they offered us complimentary Prosecco which was nice of them. The food definitely tasted better than it looked (at least for the app I got)

I have never been to a nicer Italian restaurant. In fact I’d say I’ve never been to a nicer fine dining restaurant. Not only is the food fantastic, (get the Salmon!!!) they care about presentation and cater to their guests needs before they even know they have them. My water glass never got past half full, I was checked on several times while I devoured my delicious dinner. There was hot tea to warm me while dinner was being prepared and chocolate mouse as a sweet treat afterwards. I live no where near here, but I WILL return.

The food is delicious, the staff is wonderful. Love the atmosphere of the restaurant. There’s a lil wait time but so definitely worth it, it’s also affordable a 3 course meal for the price of $35/per person so inexpensive. Would definitely come back maybe around the spring or summer.
