It was our first time going to Bellis. I was impressed with how kind our waitress was and how delicious the food was. We got the California Burrito and the Korean BBQ sandwich. Both were 10/10! For dessert we tried the Chocolate Concha and Hibiscus Concha. The bread was fluffy and sweet. It was also 10/10. For drinks we had a match latte and cranberry juice. Both tasted homemade and the cranberry juice was fresh. Overall it’s definitely a place to try out if you’re in the area.

This evening I visited Bellis for dinner. We were immediately greeted by Misha and he made sure we were seated comfortably near the window with lovely flowers. Kadee was our server and she was very attentive and friendly. She was happy to answer any questions we had about the food.

I am not vegan, but I love to eat locally sourced, organic vegetables and don’t need meat to make the meal. I had experienced the chef’s work at a wedding a couple years back and I knew based on that experience that I would love the food.

I started with a nice refreshing plum kvass. I had never tasted kvass, but I really enjoyed it. I felt like I was eating a fresh plum. I had the potato gnocchi for my entree and it was incredible. I particularly enjoyed the purée and the veggies that accompanied the potato gnocchi. I found myself wanting to lick my plate afterward, but I used restraint. I think my favorite flavors that I enjoyed this evening came from the pumpkin mousse. The pumpkin, toasted seeds with gram crust, and the mascarpone was the perfect way to end the evening.

I am really happy to see more options for fine dining here in downtown Visalia. I am also going to have to pick up a vegan pizza for lunch some time soon. They have some really good luck specials.

Went here on a Sunday afternoon (LSOB). Place was a little busy and parking easy to find.

Came here during brunch with a few friends. I tried their Strawberry Kvass. I’ve never had kvass and had to Google it. Based on what I read, it’s supposed to be fermented with a sweet and sour taste. This drink was much more on the sweeter, fruitier side, but it was very refreshing and delicious! I had their Seasonal Frittata. Since it’s vegan, the base was diced zucchini and potato (I believe) and had green beans, olive oil and vegan cheese (I believe). It was well-crafted, refreshing and delicious! I also sampled their French Toast with Créme Anglaise and Candied Calamansi. Oh boy, that was really good! Zesty, refreshing and sugary sweet!

Overall, a great addition to the Downtown Visalia scene. Carefully-crafted, fresh-ingredient plates. Don’t expect leaving here stuffed, but expect to appreciate the construction and taste of the plate. My only gripe was that it took a table of 5 one hour to get our food. Hopefully, this is just a bug that can be fixed. I’ll need to come back for their dinner offerings, but based on what I had it’ll be worth the seating.

TLDR, good food, small portions, higher price, great atmosphere.

The Bellis is a great addition to downtown Visalia and continues the vibe of upscale restaurants that are popping up more and more here in town.

The atmosphere is nice and peaceful, and the dining room isn’t too dark, but it still feels peaceful with a view of main and west streets. Music was at a nice level that helped to complete the vibe. The earth tone paint decor just completes the overall look.

The service was good as well. There were only a few hiccups while ordering and hearing me, but the server was attentive, and I received everything quickly and was cared for well.

The food was great, I’ve been vegetarian for almost 20 years, and it was nice to have a nicer meal with variety in ingredients and quality. Be aware that the portions are on the small size, so if you expect to get a ton of food for the higher price you will be disappointed. However, I knew I was walking into a finer dinning experience and expected the higher prices and smaller portions. Regardless, I found the meal experience very good and my meal was delicious and thoughtful in it’s preparation. My only worry for longevity of this establishment is price, but I hope it goes well as I’ll be here more often for a nice dinner or brunch.

We really enjoyed everything about this restaurant. It’s conveniently located on main street and there’s plenty of parking, although we walked here.
The food was outstanding. I’m always worried about vegan restaurants having on processed food, but everything on our plates was fresh and delicious. The service was wonderful and friendly. She was knowledgeable about the menu and very fast.
The decor is charming and has a dark, moody vibe, which we enjoyed at dinnertime. I like the natural colors, the fresh flowers on the tables, the dark ceiling, and the artwork.
The prices are very reasonable for what you get, as you can see the kitchen putting a lot of work and love into your meal.
High-quality and highly recommended; we will be back again.

Found this place after staying the night during a very long road trip. We were delighted that we found this place. I’m honestly shocked to read reviews that the cost is on the high side. Our family has been to a similar style vegan restaurant that charged double what this one does, and the portions were literally half of what this one offers.

We were extremely pleased with the presentation, the flavors, the cost, and the amount of food. We could only dream of having a restaurant like this closer to home. I hope Visalia supports this great restaurant. If you’re driving through, it’s a must to try. You will not be disappointed.

My husband made a reservation for lunch on our anniversary. No issues, received the confirmation text the day before, all good. We drove an hour just to pull up and see that the restaurant was closed. No warning, no text/call, no communication whatsoever. We got to waste our time/money/gas driving there and back for nothing. We try to support local vegan places, but if this is how the business is ran, we won’t try to go back.
