I chose a little side Caesar salad, which was seasoned perfectly. I also ordered a glass of red wine. For the entree, I orderead the veal saltimbocca, which was served over a bed sautéed spinach, and spaghetti with sage butter. It was simply delicious, seasoned just right in perfect temperature. It’s worth saying that the prices are fair, and during my dinner my glass of water was never empty and they offered me more bread. The server Sam was very attentive and cordial she offered the dessert menu, and I picked the tiramisù. Ierver Sam was perfectly delicious! Overall I had a very satisfying first experience here, and will return to try other dishes.
A friend and I got lunch specials, which come with either soup or salad with your entrée. My lunch entrée was Cavatelli Ortolana. It consisted of house made cavatelli pasta with spinach, sausage, garlic and peppers in a very light creamy red sauce. The food was very good. The portion was just right for lunch. I will definitely go back for lunch again.
I also tried the rolled eggplant amazing. I really enjoyed it.
It was an experience I would definitely repeat at this place.
Hopefully next year, since I’m from New York.
I’ll be honest—my expectations were low. Many restaurants in the area tend to miss the mark when it comes to bold flavor, so when I stumbled into Bellini, a small Italian restaurant tucked into a Walmart parking lot, I wasn’t expecting much.
From the moment I walked in, that changed.
I was greeted by an incredibly warm and friendly woman who was genuinely excited about where she worked—and that enthusiasm carried through the entire experience.
I started with the Oysters Rockefeller, and without exaggeration, they were hands-down the best I’ve had in the entire state of North Carolina, including coastal restaurants. They were so good I literally licked the shells clean and used the bread to soak up every last bit left on the plate.
Next came the beet salad, which was absolutely divine—and something I really appreciated was the attention to detail: all cold dishes, including salads, are served on refrigerated plates, while hot entrées are served on properly heated plates. It’s a small touch, but it makes a noticeable difference in the overall experience.
My main course was a veal dish with lemon and penne pasta, cooked perfectly and full of bright, comforting flavor.
To finish, I had the crème brûlée—silky, rich, and made with real vanilla bean, which truly sets it apart. Like the breads, it’s made in-house, and you can taste the care in every bite.
It was such a great experience that I’ll be back today just for the Oysters Rockefeller and another vanilla-bean crème brûlée. I’ll happily sit at the bar, order those two items, and leave completely satisfied.
Bellini is a hidden gem, and I’m glad I found it.
