I got the Mongolian chicken and crème brûlée, the crème brûlée was delicious not too sweet, perfect milky creamy flavor and texture. The chicken was cooked to perfection, topped with a a delicious white sauce ,alongside it was some perfectly roasted zucchini, and asparagus, sautéed mushroom. The fries were good and ranch was really good too. Highly recommend.

The Temple Bar has such a unique charm that truly sets it apart from other spots in Bellingham. What really makes this place special is the staff—they bring an atmosphere and pizzazz that you just don’t find elsewhere. You allow them to be themselves, and that freedom shines through in their energy, making the whole experience feel genuine and memorable.
One suggestion that could make it even better: consider letting the staff create a “menu item of the week.” Giving them the opportunity to contribute a special dish would not only add some fun variation, but it would also showcase their creativity and individuality. Take Kristy, for example—she has this mysterious yet deeply caring and intelligent vibe. I’d love to see what kind of special she might dream up.
We really missed you all during the week you were closed—it just wasn’t the same without you. So glad to see you back in action. Keep doing what you do best!

9/7/25: BB&G NEVER disappoints!! Matt once again was the perfect host! We need to come here more often, like once a week, minimum!!! 🙂 12/27/23: Mo & Matt both worked the entire space tonight like a well-oiled machine! Some would call it “Poetry in Motion”. We arrived shortly after 4 p.m., when they opened, and it was already busy with patrons. We yet again enjoyed our 14 Hands Chardonnay and ordered up our HH meals, the Bar Burger and the Steak & Prawns. Both meals were truly EXCEPTIONAL!! YET AGAIN, with my wife’s Celiac issue, the chef revised the typical prawn dish to support her gluten concern. What they served was BEYOND expectations. The steak was a perfect medium rare, she then experienced a perfectly cooked Prawn dish, seasoned to perfection w/garlic & butter. I can honestly say that these prawns were as good if not better than what you would experience @ Morton’s Steakhouse in Los Angeles, The Oceanaire, Atlanta or Joe’s Seafood, Prime Steak & Stone Crab in Chicago! It was just that good! YUP, we’ll be back!! Updated 11/12/23 BB&G never disappoints! Each & every visit to BB&G is always more enjoyable than the last, seems impossible but true. Now with Mo opening up an “AXE THROWING” event center next door, (it’s more than just your basic axe throwing joint (trust me!!)) there is even MORE fun to be had!! UPDATED: 4/7/2022 So it’s been at least 3 years since I have visited the BB&G (blame COVID), and I can with DELIGHT say this bar is STILL in a position all its own! Between James and Mo, the service is TOP 10!, (they really are that GOOD!), the food is fabulous, the prices truly can’t be beat (the wine price is the same it was 3+ years ago!!, If only gasoline was the same!!) The banter at the bar is polite and interesting, and the clientele are all appreciative of what a great space this truly is. I had the Happy Hour Burger, you can’t get better in town, PERIOD! It’s been a while since I was fortunate enough to visit BB&G, but I can tell you this, I am already thinking I may have to visit again TOMORROW night! (Previously) Possibly our favorite bar in Bellingham. Certainly, in the Top 3. A great Happy Hour with plenty of things to do from shuffleboard to pool, you won’t get bored. The menu is diverse, and pricing is MORE than fair! We’re Chardonnay drinkers so to get a decent pour of 14 Hands for $8.00 you can’t go wrong. Service is exceptional, and we always arrive to smiles and hospitality. THANK YOU, MO, FOR ALWAYS TAKING CARE OF US!!

Super cool spot to play billiards! Great place for a group , tournaments and solo adventures. The staff was nice and attentive and the place was clean , good lightening and multiple tables so everyone had an opportunity to enjoy themselves without a long wait. There was even a large table!

My favorite bar in town. Well-maintained pool tables and friendly staff. Food is really good too.
My main issue is they are closed on Sundays and during the day. I would love to shoot pool during these times. Weekend is a college hangout and pretty packed. Great for them and glad to see them doing well but not so much fun for me when I want to shoot some pool. So, the only times I can go are during the week in the evenings which is the hardest time for me. Still, the place is excellent and I’m glad it’s here. Just wish I could go on a Sunday or for lunch.

My office had our Christmas party here this year and the owner was a pleasure to work with! He was so nice, communicative, dealt with last minute changes and helped accommodate food allergies. The food was excellent, the owner served us personally and was so attentive to our needs. I’ll definitely go back and maybe we’ll do our party there again next year!

I recently visited Bellingham Bar and Grill during their happy hour, which runs from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM, Monday through Saturday. The happy hour steak and shrimp were absolutely delicious, and the house Cabernet complemented the meal perfectly. The happy hour prices are incredible, offering great value for such high-quality food and drinks. The atmosphere is welcoming, and the staff is attentive and friendly. I will definitely be back to enjoy more of their offerings!

A year later and the food has only gotten better!! Huge difference in here not sure what changed! Great atmosphere!! Always able to get a pool table with patience. The food is amazing!! Always spot on!! Fresh and delicious.. Don’t let the busyness of this place make you avoid its well worth it, and the security is amazing and fair!
Most don’t realize it has two sides, one for the pool tables and one for the bar and restaurant. The bar and restaurant side have tables and booths and are very comfortable.

We decided to stop by here for dinner on our way back from Vancouver BC. It was late at night, this was the only place I could find to eat. It was busy on a Saturday, but the service was quick and good. We looked at the menu and smiled. Ribeye’s steak was only $26 and the fish and chips were $15. My husband and I joked each other that we would probably get some tough meat or a little steak. The Fish and Chips were a plateful and the steak was a good size. I had the Fish and my husband had the Steak. The meat was grilled just right and had a nice flavor, and the fish were large and delicious. I don’t think there are many places where you can get steak for $26 these days. We also ordered sandwiches and sweet potato fries to take home.
However, Both the fish and chips fries and the sandwich fries were so salty that we were completely inedible.
Please use less salt on the fries.

These have great service, good food and better music than the nightclubs downtown. I seriously wish they could remove some pool tables and put a dance floor. I will be dancing and look around and other people are dancing. I love it and so do my friends
