We want to love this place but our experience last night was less than stellar. First of all, they add an automatic 20% tip . We arrived early bc we had a show to see after. We ordered drinks and an app (thank goodness). We quickly ordered food bc we needed to leave in one hour. We specifically told our waitress what time we had to leave. 50 min after ordering, we still didn’t have food and had to leave. We asked to speak with a manager and instead we were given our food in a box and the full check. So we didn’t get to eat before the theater and when we got home the food looked like they just threw it in a box and was missing a side. We are very disappointed in what should be a high end restaurant.

I have been here twice and had 2 different experiences.
1st time, sat at the bar. Great service from exceptional bartenders. Ordered from the happy hour menu. Great food, great experience. 5 stars for that. We thought we had struck gold and found a kind of “hidden gem” in Memphis. We were super excited to come back another night for a real dinner.
2nd time, was excited to try the full dining experience. Reservation, got dressed up, Saturday night dinner with the wife. To be honest, this was a 3 star experience. The table was next to the windows and it was cold. The other seats were full so there was nowhere to move (we had a reservation). The wait staff seemed confused by a few things and a bit out of sorts. The tiger shrimp was over cooked and on the chewy/tough side. The fish was cooked great. My wife liked her airline chicken. But nothing “WOWed” us, besides the creme brulee. For a $250 meal, we really should have had a much better experience.
I suggest the bar area and handhelds for a great experience. We will be back for that, for sure.

Sat at the bar last night during the Super Bowl. It was Sunday so not very crowded but enough to keep it from feeling empty. I’ve never been there before but it’s sophisticated but cozy. I had the Ahi tuna salad that was good but needed something to give it more of a kick! A spicy chile soy sauce might be nice on the side.
Kacky, (I think that was her name) my bartender was a delight! Professional, friendly and because it wasn’t that crowded we were able to have an interesting conversation on a variety of topics. I will be back again mostly to sit at the bar with Kacky!

I’ve been to Bell Meade Social at least five times and the food has been consistently excellent at each visit. Everything on the menu tastes very well from appetizers all the way to the desserts. Ordered items have been perfectly cooked and seasoned. The specials that they offer a very good and you have to try them. The Wild mushroom risotto with scallops and Short ribs are highly recommended. Also the best burger and fries in town are at this restaurant. Our server Alex makes our dinning experiences really wonderful & excellent, I recommend asking for him.

My husband and I happened upon this place by accident. The smells wafted from this place onto the nearby parking lot.
My husband got a bacon wrapped filet mignon stuffed with mushrooms and a side of mashed potatoes and asparagus.
I got a 12oz slab of prime rib. It came with a very tasty broth and horseradish sauce, as well as a salad.
All of it was cooked to perfection. I’m pretty sure we touched heaven as we ate the food.
It’s a cozy place with a fabulous atmosphere. You can expect to hear the styles of Frank Sinatra and other similar musicians from the radio, but it’s not distracting.
Some may find that the lights are too dim inside. My husband had some trouble reading his menu.
The food is on the higher side of the pricing scale but WELL worth it.

I am absolutely obsessed with this place!! The food 10000/10. Every single dish exceeded my expectations. Please go and try the salmon and truffle fries. The cocktails were perfection along with some late night banana bread. The mood was cozy and comfortable and customer service was amazing. Paul the waiter was an absolute delight along with the owner Paul who introduced himself and both made us feel so welcome. I will be coming back.

Had the most wonderful meal tonight. The overall experience was completely mind blowing. Having someone open the door for you as you walk in, to such an incredible server, Alex, to the friendliness of all the staff, not to mention the absolutely amazing food. I will definitely be back. I requested medium rare for my steak and it was absolute perfection.

This place was quite refreshing for Memphis. Great atmosphere, friendly service, and excellent food. Reagan and Jonathan did a great job serving us.
We started off with the spinach and artichoke dip and it was really good. Great hint of Parmesan flavor and crispy, chips.
I had the Kung Pao salmon and it was terrific. Cooked just right with a great Asian sauce and a side of soy cilantro rice. My wife had the chicken sandwich and said it was very good as well.
We also saved room for dessert (recommended!). We shared the Screwball banana bread pudding and it was really good. Great flavors without being heavy.

First time here and the food was amazing. Our waitress was also very nice. We ordered the crab cakes, grilled chicken sandwich, Parmesan truffle fries, and the French dip. The food was impeccable and I can’t wait to go back!

We had the best time at lunch! Such an enjoyable time;) We had the shrimp and corn chowder, greek salad, fig &pig pizza, philly cheesesteak (special), and french fries w/tarragon aioli. All were fabulous and the service was even better! Paul was our server and he is just the best. The cocktails were on point;) This is a welcome addition to east Memphis restaurant scene. We will certainly be back;)
