My wife and I were celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary so we planned a long weekend in the finger lakes. My wife found this place and they had a nice selection of steaks which were quite expensive so we thought it must be good. We wish we would have read the reviews first before choosing this place. The place has 1960’s decor. We thought maybe the food is much better. Unfortunately it was not. I ordered the surf and turf. 5 oz lobster tail and 12oz NY Strip steak cooked Medium. The food came out and the steak was cooked medium which was great but the steak had absolutely no seasoning on i. When do you get a lobster tail with an orange slice instead of a lemon to squeeze on the lobster?? The melted butter was not butter but margarine?? My wife’s Flank steak also ordered medium came out like leather and well done and so salty it really wasn’t edible. We never saw the waitress to flag her down until 20 minutes later. She asks do you want another one and we said yes but 20 minutes earlier. We passed on the dessert. We thought maybe we would credited for my wife’s leather well done steak but didn’t. We didn’t ask to be comped but most restaurants do that without even asking. We thought maybe a free dessert since they were aware we were celebrating 40 years. I normally read reviews before visiting a place or stay at a place but for some reason we didn’t this time. Based on all the other reviews very similar to our experience we never would have spent $156 dinner for two people and not enjoy anything about it. Oh well ALL reviews will be read first before spending a lot of money on anything.

Very yummy place we stopped at from out of town! The decor and inside is very nostalgic being from a small town! The staff was friendly and professional! And most importantly the food was very yummy! The portions were big and you even got the salad bar that includes bread rolls so it’s impossible to leave hungry!!

A nice sized restaurant with nice decore. The evening we dined live dinner music was provided. Greater was friendly courteous table and chairs were comfortable. Server was informative regarding menu fast and efficient. Soup and salad bar comes with entree amd was fresh with a variety of salad topping to choose from. We ordered the butcher flat bread for our appetizer which I highly reccomend. It tasted similiar to a grilled cheese but only better with lots of gooey cheese plenty of toppings which sit on top of crisp flat bread. Entree of choice was the crab cake shrimp steak choice of vegetable was the sautéed veggies. The crab cake was stuffed with sweet crab meat and cooked to perfection. The shrimp was large but tender and melts in your mouth. Steak was superior juicy tender and grilled to perfection. A nice portion of sautéed veggies summer veggies accompanied the entree immensely. Thank you Bellas Seneca Lake steak House for an enjoyable evening of dining and an excellent meal. Next time we come back to visit Seneca Lake we look forward to dining at Bellas for another delicious dining experience.

Edited… We ate here on Sunday night 5/18/25 our server was great the food was great. The music they had playing was great too!
Hubby and I ate here last week. The food is great. We had a very nice server. There was another young man waiter who kept walking past me very quickly and brushing up against me. He brushed against the side of my face with his elbow and didn’t even notice. My husband stopped him and told him that he was doing this and he apologized. Then he continued to do it. I ended up moving to the other side of the table and sitting next to my husband. The same waiter still brushed up against our table now every time he walked by. It made me super uncomfortable and I had a hard time enjoying myself and my food because of it. We asked our waiter to please move us and he obliged. The rest of our experience was great. All the food delicious. I love the clams casino supper delicious!

We rolled in with a party of 8 for a bachelorette party when we were in town. We all had great meals! Our waitress (taylor… I think) was amazing! The food was great! My crab cake had a bit too much seasoning but the beef tenderloin and garlic shrimp was soooo good it didn’t even matter. We had a nice variety of meat and seafood. Also we were all very impressed with the salad bar!!! We even got some great pics at the end of dinner!

We decided to give Bella’s a try, after hearing mixed reviews from others who have dined there.
We were seated promptly, the server came over to take our drink order. My $10 glass of local wine was a generous pour. The server took our dinner order and walked away without telling us we could start with the salad bar. We headed there anyway. The first plate my husband picked up was dirty. The salad bar was very nice, fresh lettuce and lots of toppings to go with it. The rolls were very good.
Dinner came – my husband had the fried Fisherman’s Platter, it did not have tarter or cocktail sauce accompanying it as the menu had stated. A server should know when she picks up a plate from the kitchen when such items are obviously missing from a fried seafood platter. My husband requested these, server said she would bring some.
I had the scallops scampi. The 4 scallops were cooked properly, but the scampi sauce was very bland. Salt helped a little. A pasta spoon would have also helped. The server asked if I would like some parmesan cheese with it, I said I would love some.
She immediately came back with the 2 sauces but never returned with the cheese. My husband was very disappointed with his seafood. He said he expected the clam strips and calamari to be frozen, but said all the seafood seemed to have come from the freezer. There were 2 small, unappealing looking pieces of fish that my husband said were dry and he did not care for. The calamari was overcooked and chewy. The shrimp were good, the clam strips were fine. He said the creamed spinach side was the best part of his meal.
The server never came back to check on how our meals were tasting, she did not come back to the table again till we were done eating and I had stacked my empty plates.
I have been a server for many years, and it is so important to check back within a couple minutes of serving a meal. There was a large party in the back room, but the rest of the restaurant was mostly empty. We were seated next to the hostess stand, she could have asked how we were enjoying our meals as well. A good restaurant should be a group effort.
We will not be going back – food and service were less than average at best. The three stars are mostly for the salad and the wine. To be fair, it is called Bella’s Steakhouse, maybe we should not have ordered seafood.

A husband and I went to Bella’s on a Friday night. First, they didn’t have the wine I wanted and they didn’t have two beers that my husband wanted. We ordered. I was going to order the prime rib my husband did but they said that what was left is pretty medium so I opted for the scallops and macaroni and cheese. My scallops were wonderful. The macaroni and cheese I’m sorry was very tasteless. My husband liked his prime rib. But how disappointing this place was. The service was wonderful. Our waitress was great. She kept apologizing she didn’t need to. The place has gone downhill. We went there a year ago. The place was packed. There was hardly anyone in the restaurant. Sadly it will be our last visit.

Drove an hour away because this steakhouse advertises clams casino and a salad bar which sounded fantastic to a couple of people in our group. The salad bar had minimal options for salad toppings, plenty varieties of salad dressings. The fresh rolls were so fresh, they still had raw dough. The clams casino, should be called sausage stuffed clam shells. There was no clam all red based sausage stuffing. Not good at all.
The good – service was fast and server was very friendly. The French onion soup was delicious
Would not ever return !!

I’m not one to usually order steak. However, I ordered the 16 oz Hawaiian strip steak. It was excellent. The service was exceptional (I believe her name was Killian). My husband had a 12 oz New York strip, cooked to a perfect medium rare. Baked potatoes were excellent as well, worthy of a steakhouse. A nice little surprise was the homemade soup and salad bar included in your meal.

I had a confirmed reservation at Bella’s Steakhouse and arrived to find the restaurant temporarily closed. Unfortunately, I was never notified of the closure, nor was I informed that my reservation had been canceled. This was especially disappointing as the reservation was made to celebrate my one-year anniversary. I understand that unexpected closures can happen, but failing to notify guests in advance particularly for special occasions is frustrating and reflects a lack of basic customer service.
