I have mixed opinions about Bella. Absolutely torn!

The restaurant space is great. Well decorated. The location is fantastic. The service was decent as well.

….but they don’t have Arabiatta sauce or a vodka sauce….but the food I ordered tasted great….butttt the side salad was tinyyy….butttt the Tiramisu was delicious…butttt the value for money (bang for your buck) is low…..you can see my dilemma

They have their own twist on Bruschetta and it was ok. I prefer raw tomatoes and balsamic vinaigrette on mine. The Chicken Alfredo and Chicken Cremora (the special) tasted great. The Tiramisu was delicious as well.

Bella will definitely be on my list when I have a hankering for Italian. I do feel they have a potential for being much higher on that list.

We tried Bella’s for dinner tonight for the first time. I was pleased with the portions for the price. Bar service was a little slow with the two Old Fashions for our table arriving well after we were finished with our salads and garlic knots. My daughter thought the crust of her pizza had a little too much flour on it but she ate it so it wasn’t a deal breaker. I really liked my Tortellini Michelangon and would order it again. My son was impressed with the size of his 5 extra large shrimp on his Shrimp Alfredo. We will be back.

We stopped by Bella’s for lunch before our daughter headed back to college. We were seated right away. The owners came over and introduced themselves, and they were both delightful! Michael was our server, and he was amazing! He was patient with our toddler-age grandkids, and he was aware of what we needed before we could ask. The food was delicious! Meals were served hot and fresh. We had plenty of out-of-the-oven garlic rolls, and they were so good!
For dessert, Michael recommended a few desserts, and then he brought out a dessert sampler which our group of 7 easily shared. Lemoncello cake, chocolate layer cake, and tiramisu were served, and we enjoyed each of them! We will definitely be back again! Thank you for such a nice send-off meal!

Party of 4 on a Friday night & got right in. Ordered some fried cheese. Salad & garlic knots come with most of the meals. Salad was a bit underwhelming & the garlic knots where a smidge over done, but the entrees were good portion sized & had great flavor. The tiramisu was so very good. Wait staff was very attentive & friendly.

It’s rare for me to give 5 stars, I usually find something that wasn’t great; not this time. This time the food was great, the service above expectations and I thought what they did with the old Applebee’s was well done. Wife and I loved the Calamari (so crispy, not gummy). The garlic rolls are worth fighting over, for real that good (think a cross between a yeast role and a pretzel with garlic butter.) As I was scarfing down some great Chicken Piccata I kept thinking; Mangia! Mangia!. Go and Enjoy!

A group of 8 went out this evening. We were seated quickly. I ordered the chicken piccata and it was very tasty! The salad was OK. Their bread was SO good! I order my pop without ice and it was a challenge to get the glasses without ice.

Tried out Bella’s with the wife and two of my kids (ages 2 and 3). Came in with high hopes, left wondering if this place will be a candidate for Kitchen Nightmares in a year. Let’s start outside. All good nothing to complain about. Inside, very little room for folks waiting for a table. Once we got our table, which was in a reasonable amount of time (approx. 23 minutes), the host was gracious, courteous, and left us a feeling of high hopes again for this location. However, our server spent more time talking with co-workers than paying attention to her tables. We received 2 pieces of bread and a couple of waters. After 20 minutes, we got a refill of bread, this time 3 pieces (again, we are a party of 4). She went to leave, and we stopped her asking if we could order. She seemed irritated by the request but we were allowed to place our order. Caesar salad, lasagna, and eggplant parmesan for the adults and we ordered kids lasagna’s for the littles. About 15 minutes later we got our food, two adult lasagnas, the salad, and the eggplant parmesan. Ok, we can deal with that, costs are about the same, we move on. The eggplant was cooked beyond recognition and the lasagna was far from special. The “home made” noodles were severely overcooked. The server never did check back with us to see how our food was. The bus boy did come and and clear plates in a very timely manner, saving this from a two star review. He was awesome. The server eventually did show back up, with our check, which we paid and left. I would not recommend coming here for a bit. The staff needs work to say the least. The decor is very cheesy and sloppily put together (the wall “art” of fake grass is pathetic). I will return, and I encourage you to go there as well, but do NOT go in with high hopes.

We went here for lunch today and it was very good. We started with an appetizer of their stuffed mushrooms, and they are very different from other stuffed mushrooms we’ve ever had. My husband got the chicken Parmesan and I got the chicken Albanese. The sauces were so fresh and you could tell that they had been freshly made upon ordering. The chicken in both dishes was so tender you could cut it with a fork. Our waiters name was Ada. He was very knowledgeable, friendly and listened to us. You have to remember with these freshly made sauces that they’re not going to have the preservatives or the added salt and other flavoring you might get out of a jar or from other restaurants. We ordered dessert to go, but have not made it home yet to try it. We got the Italian cream cake. Will definitely go back to try some other other dishes.

Bella’s in Olathe is a gem.

The atmosphere was quiet and welcoming, which was a refreshing change. Instead of loud sports on the TVs, they had tasteful, pleasant visuals that made it easy to relax and actually enjoy the meal and conversation.

The staff were friendly and genuinely helpful when it came to deciding what to order, which made the experience feel easy and unrushed.

The salad and garlic bread rolls were perfectly portioned. They were just enough to enjoy without feeling like fillers before the main course.

The Chicken Marsala was excellent. The chicken was tender and full of flavor, and the sauce paired perfectly with both the chicken and the spaghetti. Everything felt well balanced and thoughtfully prepared.

I will definitely be back!

We had the Chicken Parmigiana, Lobster Ravioli and Chicken Alfredo. We all loved our food and our kids really enjoyed the garlic bread rolls!!
Service was okay, our server Michael was friendly and pleasant, just seemed like he hasn’t been a server before, but we understand that they just opened and are working out kinks.
Overall good experience.
