Today was my first time trying Bella’s pizza. I chose carry out and for those that are new to Calabash you may hesitate dining at Bella’s because it’s located in a strip mall. Don’t let that deter you. It’s a small establishment but it’s clean and the staff is friendly. I ordered a pizza and garlic knots. When I arrived back to my home and opened everything I was pleasantly surprised at how everything smelled and looked. The pizza was very good and you could tell that all the ingredients were fresh. The garlic knots were soft and tasty( on the side you get a small cup of marinara sauce for dipping the knots). I’m always apprehensive about trying local pizza establishments because I’m a Chicago girl and I’m used to Chicago pizza. But now that I’ve tried Bella’s, I’ll be a return customer. Try Bella’s you won’t be disappointed.

Pizza was very good — thin crust, packed with toppings, sauce and cheese had the right flavors and ratios. Ordered the Supreme (Large = 16”; 8 slices), which was delicious. We ate in, and the staff was very attentive. It seems like a small family run business. Prices were very good! We had a large pizza and 2 sodas for $24, plus tip. Would definitely go again.

Disappointed. Ordered mozzarella sticks ,meatball parm and a Philly . Mozzarella sticks are soft and pale , the breading feels like pizza dough . The meatball parm was $12 and had a total of 2 meatballs on it .. one on each half .. they cut each meatball in half . Philly had no flavor , and they forgot our chips. The bread was good and cannoli are always good .Everyone is always super friendly so I feel bad leaving a bad review but for $42… We’ll stick to just ordering pizza from now on.

First time ever in Calabash and ordered pizza for pick up. I will say the pizza was good but the man that waited on me was rude. When I got there the pizza wasn’t ready which is not a problem. So waited for it while we were waiting another person came in and placed an order I heard the guy tell the person not to forget the tip, which in its self is very bold and rude and no I did not tip for a pickup order. When our pizza was fine the gentleman brought it out dropped it on the counter turned around and went back I to the kitchen. He didn’t say thank, here’s you order thank oh for waiting nothing. He didn’t even acknowledge that it was our order.

Food was excellent. So many fresh items it was hard to choose a favorite. Family agrees. It was worth the 20 mile drive.
They have a sign up for help wanted but it was a little strange when our server left to deliver an order off site. The personnel left were busy with call in orders and serving the pickups.
The food alone deserves a rebuild just not sure how we will do this next time

Ordered the supreme as takeout. I will request extra sauce and extra crispy crust next time. It definitely wasn’t bad pizza, but wasn’t what I consider as amazing NY style. Reminds me of pizza I’ve eaten from the old Angelo’s at Shallotte Crossing. The price was excellent IMO. Large supreme with added tomatoes was $24!!!!!! Will be back.

Pizza snob here so may be OK for the area. But I am from the pizza belt…and the sauce was decent, the toppings also good, but it was soggy and chewy. It was thin crust but not done well.

Just had two pizzas delivered and they were disgusting. The oddest smell. Realized it was the boxes, they smelled musty. Ruined the pizza. Just threw them in the trash.
