Boyfriend reserved a table for us here on a Monday evening at 5:30. When we arrived we were greeted positively by the bartender/host (not sure which) immediately. Fernando was our waiter and during the entirety of our visit was extremely kind and attentive even as it got busier later in the night. I have allergies and he made sure to check that everything I ordered was able to be accommodated, which everything was! We ordered the calamari as our appetizer, my boyfriend had the shrimp penne pasta, and I ordered the Monday 20oz Prime rib dinner. Everything tasted amazing and the atmosphere in the main dining area was super chill with table and couch seating options. As a frequent date goer and foodie, 10/10 experience!

We were hoping for a great evening with live music on the patio. We made reservations for two. We were greeted and sat down at our table and left alone for half an hour before we got water while we listen to the band which was good. Finally we got to order drinks which took another half hour to receive only one of our drinks. When we asked for the second drink they brought a glass of wine that I didn’t order the server said that she couldn’t find my wine so she bought me a different wine to taste but it was not good. I asked for the wine list and I chose a better wine and then she walked out with two bottles of wine, one that I had originally ordered. Finally an hour and a half later I got my glass of wine. The music was good and that is the only reason we didn’t walk out. Customers started complaining and then we got our appetizer. Two hours later we got our dinner. $107.00 later with two beers one glass of wine an appetizer one pasta dish that was not very good. It wouldn’t have been a complaint for cost but the service was unexceptionable and the food was not very good. Our table was warped and wonky. Won’t go back for food or service. Greeter was a stick in the mud. Sorry it just wasn’t a good experience. And I usually have good reviews on restaurants.

We came here for the first time this evening for a Valentine’s Day date. The restaurant had a set price menu of $125 per person, which included a small bit of tuna on a cracker, an appetizer, a main course, and a tiny slice of cheesecake with the chocolate covered strawberry. For this price, we were taking outside to what looks like the back of an old restaurant where there is a stage, a mural painted on the wall, and tables that have been set up that looked to be temporary. It was chilly tonight, but they put us relatively near a heater, which had very little ability to keep us warm. My appetizer was fine, but my wife had own marrow that came out that was the consistency of butter and was cold. We reported this to the waiter, and he was nice enough to apologize, but did nothing about it. Then, the main course came out and we switched places. My wife’s duck came out warm and fresh, and my plate, and 8 ounce steak, potatoes, and green beans came out cold. Every one of those items was cool to the touch, which is insane for a $125 meal. All in all, I think I’m being generous to give this place two stars. The waiter did bring me out another plate, and while I wouldn’t say that it was hot as if it were fresh, it was at least not cold. The steak was fine, everything was fine, with the fact that we ended up spending over $300 at this place is insane. I wouldn’t pay over $100 for the experience that we had tonight. They did nothing to apologize for the experience, either, by trying to knock off a few dollars to apologize, or bring a little extra slice of cheesecake, nothing. Save your money. There are plenty of other places to eat in Escondido that would blow this place out of the water.

Helen is the BEST! Attentive, personable, and professional. Exactly what you are looking for when you want to relax at an awesome place with fantastic food. Here with 3 foodies who cleaned their plates at every course. And Helen was there throughout guiding and helping exactly as we needed.

My husband and I had dinner here a few days ago and it was one of the best meals I’ve ever eaten. Everything from the starter to dessert was perfection. The service was also very good. It’s not cheap but the quality was excellent. We’re looking forward to dining here again.

Made a reservation way in advance for Valentine’s. Arrived ten minutes early for our time. We were told they were running five minutes late. That was a lie. Instead, we waited forty minutes outside in the cold. Once seated, we were stuck outdoors even though I requested inside. The table wasn’t near a heater either. The table black cloth was filthy dirty. The waiter was new and no idea what he was doing. Their wine and beer selection is limited. They do not provide bread as an appetizer. Forecast menu at $125 per person, it should be an outstanding experience. We couldn’t even get past the appetizer and we got up and left the location. Horrible experience that ruined our date night for Valentine’s. I will never go here again.

Fantastic place to have a meal. The atmosphere was very welcoming despite it being busy. service couldn’t have been better. The only critique I could add would be that my scallops were overcooked. Presentation was great though. I definitely recommend checking this place out if you have a little extra cash to spend.
Oh, there was also live music that we enjoyed very much.

Love this Farm to table Restaurant. They have a Prime Rib Monday’s for the beef lovers! Great bar with an outdoor patio area for entertainment and dinner dates. The food is very fresh and flavorful. The Burger is one of the best fresh meat burgers that I’ve ever had. Great place for small groups. They have a private dinner room and plenty of outdoor space.

We had a group of 9 and we were put into our own private room in the back. We had a great time and service was great as well. I got the duck and my kids had a mini chicken pie and some steak skewers. Many of my family members got a pork chop special. Unfortunately the pork chop was all around pretty overcooked and dry. My duck was good but the cauliflower mousse was pretty awesome. I wish there was more. The chocolate bread pudding and creme brulee we’re also both great. Overall we had a good time.

This was a nice surprise. A really nice restaurant with delicious food and lovely, although a tad slow, service. Would definitely come back here again. The crispy brussell sprouts appetizer is one of the most amazing things I’ve eaten ever. Seriously. Next time, I might get them just for me for my entree. The lemon sorbet was outstanding, as well.
