My sister, a girlfriend and I stopped by this cute spot for a “little black dress “ event. Very nice. We weren’t aware we needed reservations for the event, however, the young lady at the door told us we could sit at the bar. Lucky for us, there were three seats available at the bar. The event is only on one side of the restaurant where the piano is. Our bar host was great and very attentive. The restaurant is super cute and welcoming. As many times as I’ve ventured to The Villages, I have overlooked this spot on all occasions. The food and drinks were great! Fried eggplant and ravioli were great! The bread was delicious! Hot and fresh just how I like it Overall, nice experience. I will definitely return for date night with hubby❤️

My husband and I ate here for lunch today. Our waitress was Casey. She was friendly and attentive. The food was outstanding! I had the lobster bisque and lasagna. It was the BEST lasagna ever. There was plenty of sauce, meat and the noodles were perfect! My husband had the antipasta salad and chicken alfredo.Their delicious bread was served with both butter and oil. Even though we were full we ordered dessert, we shared their special cheesecake. We had plenty left over for dinner later. We will definitely go back! Oh, and I also had their Italian margarita which was very tasty

These pictures do not give these dishes justice, we had already started eating before I thought about taking pictures.

This place gives the illusion of fine dining like I’ve never seen before. Honestly a scam for microwaved vegetables and instant mashed potatoes as well as reheated bread and dried herbs they probably got cheaply but serve and sell it for far more. $50 for a steak. The paintings are the definition of modern art (one I found particularly amusing in pic) and the place looks like it used to be an Asian restaurant. The menus are unnecessarily huge for how tiny the menu is, and why they make the servers wear such heavy aprons when they aren’t cooking anything is crazy. They look uncomfortable walking and must make it even more difficult to carry serving trays. I wouldn’t be as harsh on a place if it wasn’t trying so hard to be something it absolutely isn’t. It should be a crime to charge so much for such a subpar experience food and atmosphere wise. If I ever go back, extremely unlikely, going straight to the bar cause at least they guy knows how to make a good drink to cope with how much money you are going to waste here if you actually have taste buds left. Server (sorry I couldn’t remember her name but she is in the pic) and bartender did a phenomenal job regardless, she earned them a better rating than they deserve. Lady at the entrance looked like she could use some help greeting guests.

If comfort food could be captured in a single dish, it would be the **Bolognaise Rustica**. This hearty creation takes the timeless flavors of Italy and layers them with rustic charm and depth. A generous portion of penne pasta arrives perfectly al dente, each tube catching the rich sauce in every bite.

The sauce itself is a slow-simmered masterpiece: ground Italian sausage and beef form a savory backbone, while carrots, celery, and onion add subtle sweetness and earthiness. The tomatoes are bright yet mellow, balancing acidity with the richness of the meat. Fragrant herbs weave through the sauce, lifting it beyond ordinary red gravy into something soulful and layered.

Topped with a snowfall of freshly grated Parmesan, the dish achieves a harmony that satisfies both rustic cravings and refined palates. It’s robust without being heavy, comforting without being predictable, and leaves you lingering over the last bite.

Pair it with a glass of Chianti or a crusty piece of bread, and you’ll find yourself transported to a Tuscan trattoria. The **Bolognaise Rustica** is not just a plate of pasta—it’s a reminder that simple ingredients, when treated with care, create something truly memorable at Bella Vita Italian Steakhouse

No reservation on a Sunday 4pm. Host was not friendly or polite. Shown to a table outside. Waited 15 min. No service. Asked someone if we could have service. Our waiter apologized. He was not assigned the table until we asked. Our meal was excellent. Bread was brought with seasoned olive oil but no bread plates. Oh well. It was delicious anyway. We had to help ourselves to a napkin/place setting as we were given one short. Eggplant rollotini, bruschetta with whipped ricotta and lemon cello cheesecake were all excellent.

Wonderful service and an excellent menu. Although we do not live in the area, we decided to visit Spanish Springs Square and dine at your beautiful restaurant, and we are so glad we did. We chose to sit on the outdoor patio, which was just as elegant and thoughtfully arranged as the interior.
My husband and I ordered the spaghetti and meatballs special, which was generously portioned and full of flavor. The other couple in our party enjoyed the caprese flatbread with a salad—excellent lunch options all around. Every dish was thoroughly enjoyed. The bread served with herbs and oil was a lovely touch and absolutely delicious.
We also ordered several beverages from the bar, including wine and specialty cocktails. The drink menu was creative and offered a wide variety of appealing options.
Our experience was made especially memorable by our server, Kimberly. She was attentive, professional, and knowledgeable throughout our visit. Our drinks were always refreshed, the table was promptly cleared, and her service was seamless without ever feeling intrusive. Kimberly truly made the drive worthwhile.
Overall, the entire experience was delightful. We were very pleased with our visit and look forward to returning to enjoy another dish—and to be served by Kimberly again.

4 of us had dinner on the patio on Valentine’s Day. We had a reservation for 7:30 but the place was so busy that we only got a table after 8.
We each had a cocktail.
The food was delicious. We have tried many of the other restaurants in Spanish Springs in The Villages, Florida in the past two weeks, and we found them to be mediocre. Bella Vita is far superior. I enjoyed the salad, the bread was very good, and my main was veal piccata with angel hair pasta—I ate every bite. So delicious! We all enjoyed our meals. I had cannolis for dessert. I highly recommend this restaurant.

1st time for me, will definitely not be the last. Warm atmosphere obtained by breaking up a large restaurant into cozy areas , without walls! Furniture was designed for real people, proper heights, no slouching or reaching. AND, one could carry on a conversation at one’s table without “yelling”. Food served warm and delicious. I asked for risotto as substitute for noodles with my veal piccata, no problem. Side salad was very fresh and a great variety of ingredients. Drinks menu extensive. Icing on the cake was our server Andi. She made the entire experience come together seamlessly. Attentive and supportive. Andi will make our next visit sooner rather than later.

The bar area offers a pleasant seating experience, but the food quality falls short of expectations. The Kale Caesar salad, priced at $12, did not meet the anticipated standards. Furthermore, the bartender required frequent reminders to provide requested items such as salt, water, and bread. Upon joining my friends, who had already been seated for a while, the bartender inquired if I wished to settle the entire check, including my friends’ separate tabs. This request was unexpected and led to an awkward moment.
