Drinks are inexpensive, mostly around $2. The crowd varies nightly and hourly between sedate, and all the way to noisy and boisterous. But just boisterous. Not angry.
Its a happy and happening place, and I love the atmosphere, and the wide swath of types of humanity that passes thru the door … for social times, for thirst, for pool, for automated gambling.. and the jukebox is amazing. The enclosed outdoor space is often the best place to socialize.. if you can handle some smoke.
Its not “The Queens House” but once in a while you can see one there. (Its a gay bar, plz stay home if thats unsettling to you.) To me, its the clientele that makes the place, but its a small enuf place that some of the boozetenders “know my name”. Not everybody knows my name, but thats actually ok. Iykwim.

We had to sit at bar because we didn’t have a reservation. But Eva the bartender was very attentive. There were empty booths the whole time we were there.
I had the cannoli crepes and they where exceptional. The building was clean and much more inviting than the West Street location.

First time coming here. Me and my wife were very excited. They brought out bread and oil. I am gluten free and they also had gluten free bread. It was sooooooo good. Best bread I’ve ever had. We got the Bruschetta GF for appetizer. Super good. Then got the shrimp scampi GF and tortellini ala vodka. Wife loved hers. I thought my gluten free shrimp scampi was very flavorful. Dessert was a lemon cake and I had the ice cream since it was the only gluten free option. Would highly recommend. Service was one of the best I’ve ever had. Will definitely come back many times.

Always a wonderful place to go for special occasion or just a nice dinner out! The atmosphere is great, the service and food are always amazing! It’s a bit pricey, but we’ll be worth it and definitely one of Wichitas’ hidden gems! Highly recommended and, of course, 5 stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A must visit for all food lovers!

Don’t let the outside fool you. I came across Bella Vita while searching for a new place to try for a small birthday dinner. When looking at pictures online, I wasn’t impressed by the storefront, but the food looked amazing. A friend and I went for an early dinner, and we were both pleasantly surprised once inside. All of the staff were genuinely nice and helpful, and the food was absolutely amazing. It’s a new cozy Italian favorite that we will be frequenting.

Bella Vita is such a great place to have a nice dinner. The area is on the outdated side. But don’t let that fool you! This place is nice and quaint inside. The service was phenomenal. From when you walk into the door, to the girl refilling your water, to the server being on top of it all night, this place exceeded expectations. The brioche was absolutely amazing. Try that as an appetizer and you won’t be disappointed. Food is definitely homemade and had a great home taste to it. Lasagna was great and made with a local white sauce. Reservations are recommended, so feel free to give them a call and get booked! Enjoy a great homemade Italian deal!

I am so very glad they are back! I really like the atmosphere at their new place! We had a party of six and were seated promptly. Very nice furnishings with glass on the tables.
Two of us got salmon and the remainder ordered pasta. My salmon was Sockeye Salmon and cooked to perfection. Everyone loved their pasta and our salads were excellent. Our water glasses were always full and the service was great. A few of us had leftovers and they didn’t just hand you a box, they took your leftovers and boxed them for you. Seemed like a high end restaurant without high end prices. So glad they are back. For you east side diners, worth the drive.

This is one of our favorite places in town. Authentic and excellent Italian food and reasonably priced. I normally insist on butter on my bread, but their specialty oil & balsamic vinegar is so amazing that we bought some to take home. Make a reservation in advance. You can’t go wrong. Great espresso martinis too!
