Bella Verona has the most comfortable and relaxing atmospheres. The food is delicious. The chef accommodated my gluten allergy with gluten free penne. The wine was phenomenal as well! I got the Scaloppine di Pollo alla Sorrentina, and the Gabbiano wine.

Cute very small place. Nice atmosphere but I would say all was just ok. Not spectacular but good. Table was uneven and wobbly we had to hold are feet to keep it from rocking. Sausage was not the Italian sausage I grew up on from our Italian market but a flat breakfast sausage. One piece was $6.50. Server was kind and friendly but kept forgetting the bread. The spaghetti was cooked perfectly, sause was good. Dinner for 2. 1 soda, 2 spaghetti, 1 added pc of sausage $80

Great Italian food in Salem, Massachusetts! I went twice and this place is spot on with their dishes. The atmosphere is great although a little small inside. I had the beef bourguignon the first time coming here. The second time coming here I had spaghetti and meatballs. I rated both these dishes at a 9.8/10. Even though beef bouriguignon is a French dish it was out of this world. The red sauce and everything that went into the spaghetti and meatballs also took me by surprise. I love the vibes here. Awesome place. Great menu! Keep up the great work!!

Me and my girlfriend went here for a date night a couple weeks ago, we haven’t found a lot of great restaurants in Salem, but this is definitely one we’ll be back to. As your seated to a dimly lit table (ambiance) you’re greeted with a basket of bread with this anchovy and olive oil dipping sauce. I’m not an anchovies guy but I enjoyed it, the saltiness was a nice way to awaken the taste buds. We started the meal with the Carciofini In Carrozza and it was a nice light antipasti, the flavor was very well-balanced with the creaminess from the cheese, the saltiness from the meat and the texture and sweetness of the marinated artichoke hearts. Then for the meal we had the Scaloppine Di Maiale Al Pepe over the house made pappardelle and the Tagliatelle Alla Puttanesca with chicken. The scaloppine do maiale al pepe was very nice the pepper was just enough to cut through the cream sauce and give a nice delicate kick to the meal, the noodles were a perfect al dente, and the pork was nice and tender, though I felt as though it could have been cooked differently, it may have been overcooked because it could have been juicier, maybe grilling it like they do the chicken would have brought more life to the dish. My recommendation goes to the putanesca, the chicken was grilled perfectly, there was plenty of it, it was complimented so well by the saltiness of the olives, anchovies and capers, and the delicate sweetness of the sauce, the onions and anchovies were present but not over powering, and the tagliatelle was toothsome and an excellent vehicle for the contents of the putanesca, flavor was trapped in every bite. We capped off the meal with the tiramisu, absolutely tremendous. I couldn’t stop myself from eating it. It was so creamy and the texture was so relaxed, and the coffee got us pretty wired for the ride home, there was a second of silence. The recommendation of the tiramisu was from our server who I must mention was so helpful throughout the whole experience, our water glasses never went empty, she helped us navigate the menu and told us what combinations were possible, great guidance for our first experience. Also the atmosphere of the place is exactly what you look for in an Italian restaurant, they had the old school Italian themed pictures, the checkerboard tablecloth, the decor you would expect, it really added to the experience. We spent about 120 with the tip for the meal, and if we didn’t do so much customization it would have been cheaper, but for the whole experience I would say it was well worth it. We can’t wait to revisit our favorite restaurant in Salem.

Delicious, authentic, great atmosphere, professional and attentive staff! Very small establishment, but well worth the visi! I had a perfect birthday dinner thanks to this restaurant. The food was fresh and amazing. We got the pasta puttaneaca, pasta primavera with red sauce, tiramisu and limoncello spritzes. The bread with olive tapenade appetizer was also delish. Give it a try!

Our go-to Italian restaurant in Salem. Great selection of authentic Italian dishes. Lobster ravioli and lemon sorbet (pic) was my choice tonight!

Best meal I’ve ever eaten, the depth of flavor in each dish is unreal and it’s incredibly cozy and beautiful inside the restaurant. I wish I’d had enough room to try one of their specials which was a rabbit stew but I went with my favorite meal which didn’t disappoint. The meat was tender and the sauce was phenomenal. Also best tiramisu I’ve ever had. Best date night spot I can think of. Not to mention the staff was so friendly even if the food was terrible I’d still have had a good time, but it wasn’t, it was the best meal I’ve ever had. They also serve warm bread and fresh tapenade before the meal.

I recently had a wonderful date night with my partner here and I was truly blown away, the food was out of this world and the mix drinks tasted wonderful! Our highlight was our waitress kat, very attentive and very friendly with a warm personality. Me and my partners date night was absolutely perfect and we will definitely be coming back!

My husband chose this place for dinner for one reason – they served spaghetti puttanesca. This pasta is his favorite and not every Italian place offers it. It was not crowded when we went. Service was great. There was bread with butter and an olive spread. The only con was the minestrone soup – this is not the minestrone I am used to, and had no pasta or tomatoes in it. It was ok. The pasta dishes were very good. I’m a spaghetti person, but their spaghetti had a creamy cheese sauce which was nice and tasty. My husband loved the puttanesca! Very cute restaurant as well- loved the decorations!

We had a delightful dinner for a large group (14) after our daughter’s wedding at The Gables. Food was great with good sized servings. Service was friendly and perfect. So accommodating, even in their busy October season. Would highly recommend. Cannot say enough good things about Bella Verona!
