Bella Piatti is hands down my favorite restaurant of all time. Every single visit feels special, from the warm welcome at the door to the last bite of dessert. The food is consistently phenomenal—my must-order appetizer is the gnocchi, which is pure perfection, and the gamberoni di bosco never disappoints. For entrées, I almost always go with the spaghetti busara—it’s so good I can’t bring myself to try anything else. And the bread pudding? Unreal. Truly the perfect ending to an incredible meal.
Beyond the food, the service is what really sets Bella Piatti apart. Every server and hostess is amazing, but our experience is always extra special when Mary takes care of us. She is absolutely wonderful—attentive, genuine, and full of joy. Her spirit alone makes the night brighter and elevates the entire dining experience.

All I can say is yum! A friend recommended Bella Piatti to me when I was traveling to Birmingham for work and I’m so happy that he did! The restaurant was crowded and I was by myself so I took a seat at the bar. I was immediately greeted by Krissy, the bartender, and she helped me navigate the menu. I tried multiple appetizers – burrata, tiger shrimp and the gnocchi bolognese…everything was amazing! I ended the evening with the bread pudding…wow! Everyone at the restaurant, including other patrons , was so friendly and I can’t wait to return on my next trip. Highly recommend!

Always a great experience with great food. This was our third time eating here. We invited my sister-in-law and brother-in-law to join us and had a great time. They enjoyed their food as well. I LOVE the spaghetti busara, but this time that I got it wasn’t as great as the first time. It’s like something was missing. I don’t know if it wasn’t buttery enough, or something else, but it just didn’t give me that OMG feeling that I had the first time I had it. My husband had the roasted quail and mushroom risotto, and that was really good. They really only need to have one quail for that meal rather than two. My brother-in-law and sister-in-law both had a fish dish and they enjoyed them. Our appetizers were all really good. We had a little leftover of the calamari that my sister-in-law took home for our 13 year old nephew to try (as he had wanted to try calamari), and he really liked it, and now he wants to go to Bella Piatti.
So, definitely another great experience, and of course we will definitely go back yet again.

Second time here and had an amazing dinner again. Carl was our server; he was extremely attentive and friendly. From the moment you walk in the door until you leave you are given top notch service from the entire team. I highly recommend this restaurant. We had the calamari & octopus and loved them both. My husband had the clam seafood dish with white wine sauce this time and last and it’s his favorite. I had the Italian sausage pasta and although it was good it wasn’t my favorite. I had the Branzino last time and I would’ve done that again. We finished with the flourless chocolate and it was amazing.

This place has great food and is great for any occasion or special event. Our server Colin was great and had some very good recommendations for food. I asked if they had any pasta with a vodka based sauce and he mentioned they can put something together, and it was very good. The starters were okay, but the main courses were all great. All their pastas are good, and their chicken piccata is by far one of the best I’ve ever had. Besides the place being very small and everyone sitting next to each other, the food makes up for it and so does the service. I’ll definitely come again.

Went there to celebrate birthday. Amazing service, beautiful ambiance, great wine selection, and most importantly delicious food. All sauces are homemade. The only challenge is to find a away to improve the ventilation system as every 20-30 minutes we had a wave of the food smell coming out of the kitchen, which is not nice to have stuck on your clothes when you leave. I will defiantly go back after lent to try their meat options.

More ambiance than food. Chicken dish was way too lemony. Sauce overpowered the dish. Rabbit dish wasn’t a favorite. Salad was not included with service, only bread. Other dishes were ordered but no comments were made good or bad. Service was impeccable. Went for date night with siblings and their spouses. A small cozy restaurant. It was very packed. We were seated immediately for a Saturday night. The waiter was friendly and knowledgeable. He was attentive too. The manager also came up to check on us in between which was nice. We ordered few appetizers which were really good. Out of all the entrees every one loved what I order and it was the baked chicken. It was very juicy and nicely flavored. Definitely recommend this place to anyone. Only reason I deducted a star was because of the space issue. Everything else was perfect.
