Love Bella Noche. Although the restaurant is in an old shopping center, the food is excellent. They have a spin on their dishes because it’s Italian with Mexican infusion. The rice ball appetizer is delicious! I like that the ragu isn’t so tomato based (less acid) tasting in the red sauce dishes. It’s a calm tomato Italian taste. The portions are great. They do fish very well. Has become a favorite!

A wonderful dining experience is to be had here. The staff is kind and quick. The pasta was well cooked and the sauces perfectly spiced. I ordered a ribeye and was pleasantly surprised when my medium rare order was delivered both warm and well cooked, a rarity in this region. The tiramisu was excellent as well. If you are looking for a good family restaurant with moderate prices, look no further.

We stopped by this unassuming restaurant located in a shopping center and was surprised with the quality of the food and the excellent service. Besides the mural on one wall the inside is unremarkable with tall booths giving the restaurant a rather cozy atmosphere. I had Penna Checca and my wife angle hair carbonara. Salads were great, my entree was very fresh, but a little ordinary, while my wife’s dish was extraordinary. Well worth visiting if Italian is on you mind.

Decided to give this place another chance under the new ownership and I was impressed! The staff was very sweet (some a little under experienced but very sweet) and attentive. We all had pasta which was very delicious. The owner visited our table and was very nice…he even gave us a slice of their amazing blueberry cheesecake! Can’t wait to return! A must try in Watkinsville!

My wife and I have frequented this restaurant for years now, but the flavor and service seem to be gradually declining. Today we took the family out. It took forever to get our drinks which didn’t all come out and then a lot longer to put our order in. We never saw our waitress again until food arrived and at this point we had been there for an hour and a half. Several items were sent back or uneaten do to how bad it tasted and the food that was as eaten had no flavor compared to how delicious the food normally is. Between extremely poor service and low quality food if I had never had it before I would never return. I will go back but after tonight debacle it will be their last chance

Fantastic food and good service. Their soup and sauces are to die for. Have had several menu options and they have all been excellent. A family run restaurant with nice atmosphere and freindly servers. IMO this is the finest cuisine in Watkinsville. So sad Bella Noche closed permanently. They will be missed. I hope this wonderful family and chef open another restaurant in our area. RIP Bella Noche.

After three wonderful meals, can say that this sweet little Italian/Latin restaurant is outstanding! Everything is so fresh – especially the salad – and there are unexpected treats (wild caught Alaskan salmon, quail, mussels, bread served with olive oil and balsamic vinegar). The pasta and various sauces are delicious.

This was our first and last time at Bella Noche. The service was awful. I ordered a glass of wine that they tried to serve to another table. Tried to give us someone else’s order and we waited and waited to get our water glasses refilled. No garlic bread in an Italian restaurant just rolls and butter and the Caesar salad dressing had very little taste. The lasagna and ziti were ok not great. And as we walked out the door no one thanked us or asked us to come again. Terrible place.

I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a delicious, casual, family-friendly Italian restaurant in the Athens area. If you are considering going to Olive Garden, please consider this place instead. You will have no wait, even at a peak time on a Friday or Saturday evening, the entrees will be at least $5 cheaper, the service is great, and, most importantly, the food is absolutely amazing. The chicken parmesan and chicken marsala are easily the best I’ve had at a restaurant. They also come with a choice of either pasta or roasted vegetables, and the roasted vegetables are incredibly tasty and cooked perfectly. But perhaps the best item on the menu is the arancini, or fried risotto balls with mozzarella in the center. The arancini comes with this wonderful sauce as well. This restaurant does not get nearly enough publicity and is a hidden gem in Watkinsville. You won’t be disappointed!
