Dessert vanilla crème brûlée….I am completely satisfied. By far one of the best restaurants I’ve been to. Atmosphere is perfect ! Highly recommend 100 %. Can’t wait to try everything on the menu.
PS!!! Dubai chocolate cheesecake and key lime pie are a must try!!!
Thank you Sasha!
They were absolutely taking great care of a larger friendly group and going above and beyond. They will walk away with a great experience I’m sure. I struggled with the loudness of that social atmosphere in a somewhat tight setting.
The bread has a bit of an olive oil flavor too it. Pleasant, moist and slightly dense. I would have liked some salt at the table to help season the butter a little more but those are not provided. Good experience overall with the bread.
I love tea. Their tea tasted terrible. They replaced it with a stronger batch but even that has a terrible almost chemical aftertaste and texture in my mouth. I paid for two glasses and we took 4 sips. It was atrocious. I guess whstever you do, don’t get the tea.
The meal itself was good. My wife had the trout and it had gernrous portions with a wonderful lemon sauce. Brussel sprouts had a lot of potential but missed the mark. They are cooked in a beef reduction which is a recipe for success but tasted too burnt to really enjoy. The garlic mashed potatoes were creamy and flavorful but a little dry.
I had the 12 ounce steak. The cut was approximately 2 inches thick and narrow, maybe 3 inches wide. Pre sliced with a pleasant sauce. The presentation was excellent. The quality of the cook was also excellent, perfectly medium rare. It was seasoned very well in the center but the edge pieces were flavorless. I believe what I had was more like 9 ounces than 12. The quality of the meats cut was choice at best, I chewed several pieces for at least 2 minutes unable to make it through some of the tougher gristle hidden in this great presentation. I gave up and just swallowed the mouthfuls since I couldn’t actually chew it appropriately. I would have gotten a much higher quality meat at longhorns or outback. So overall I was a bit let down considering I dropped 42 dollars on that 7 dollar meat.
The broccoli was expertly grilled with great clean texture and flavor, maybe the best broccoli I’ve ever had. Bravo on that.
I had the peanut butter cake, which was actually a peanut butter mouse with a chocolate ganache top and gram cracker crumb crust. It was absolutely the star of the evening for us. That flavor and texture was great for a light dessert.
The service was good, they had brought on some new people for the holiday traffic. The guys were getting into the swing of it and had good attitudes. The gentleman kept the water topped off at all times. Good people.
So again I’m torn, there were some strengths along with definite shortcomings for me. It was my first time, it was interesting. For people who enjoy the energy here will probably enjoy it. I can’t say there was enough here to justify the price for me.
It was a bit loud, but that’s because it was a packed house. This place is CLEARLY one of the best kept secrets of Shreveport and my wife and I will be returning for date night.
Again I thank you for making her birthday dinner a VERY memorable night. Mongo.
We started with a couple of appetizers, and they set the tone for the meal. The flatbread was perfectly crisp and flavorful, and the salmon was cooked to perfection—absolutely delicious.
For the entrée, I had the pork chop with peaches, which was a standout dish. The combination of tender, juicy pork with the sweetness of the peaches was both unique and satisfying.
To top off the evening, I indulged in the peanut butter pie for dessert, and it was divine. Creamy, rich, and perfectly balanced—it was the perfect ending to an amazing meal.
Bella Fresca is a must-visit for anyone looking for a refined yet approachable dining experience. I’ll definitely be returning soon!
