Gorgeous restaurant that is more a sit-down than a cafe bar/grill that I was expecting. However, awful first and only experience here. Our child’s order was never put in and she was starving as food was taking a long time since it was busy so she had to go out for snacks. When most of our food arrived, we were told the rest was coming, so we waited ten more minutues, only to learn nothing had ever been ordered. The waitress was extremely defensive when all she had to do was apologize for the misunderstanding, apologies did come when we were leaving. She says we didn’t order the food however we both remember ordering it clearly. A way to prevent this is if you repeat the order before leaving the table.
The salmon salad was falsely advertised. The salad didn’t match the description so I checked the online menu after I got it. The menu listed heirloom tomatoes, which were not on the plate, and it contained carrots that were not disclosed despite being a serious allergen for me. When I pointed this out, the server argued with me instead of taking responsibility, as if I couldn’t read a menu or see my own salad. The manager said he’d never heard of a carrot allergy. I don’t see why it can’t be disclosed.
The service was defensive and dismissive. The wait was so long that fixing anything was no longer an option. I had lost my appetite after the back and forth with the wait staff.
This is also not a family friendly restaurant. There is no kids menu and no clear options unless you ask and even then they are only verbally communicated. Just chicken fingers and a tiny thing of pasta. Lots of decor easy to reach at benches are breakable so I do not recommend coming with young kids or you will be playing referee.
There are too many restaurants in Lexington so I won’t be back and they make good business so I know they aren’t worried about losing a customer.
