Due to COVID-19, we are currently doing orders to-go and curbside pick-up. Our dinner menus are also limited at this time. Established in 1993, Bella Bru Cafe is an award-winning, locally owned and run cafe and restaurant in Sacramento, California. Our menu includes breakfast (french toast, omelets, quiche), lunch (salads, sandwiches, pizza), and dinner (meatloaf, salmon, burgers) options, along with morning espressos and a full bar. The food was delicious and came out quickly. They had lots of fun seasonal options, which made the menu feel fresh and interesting. It was also an easy place to sit, relax, and actually talk with a friend without feeling rushed. Would definitely come back.

I came here on a Saturday around noon. With no reservation we were able to get seated. We ordered the Cinnamon Brioche French Toast with a sides of potatoes and the margarita pizza. The service was great! The food was average.

Classic American breakfast. Bella Bru Special drink was pretty good. Service was amazing. Server Jasmine replaced everything for me the moment I needed it (water, napkins, utensils, etc.). My napkin fell and she immediately handed me a stack of fresh napkins. Water empty? She’s already on her way with a jug. It was epic to see, shout out to her and her efficiency. They have pink salt too if that matters to anyone.

The service was wonderful, and we appreciated that they offered both indoor and outdoor dining options. My salad was fresh and nicely presented. A few at our table felt their meals didn’t quite meet expectations this time, but the desserts looked incredible so we will have to save room for them on our next visit.

We’ve been loyal customers of Bella Bru for over 10 years and have always appreciated the friendly and attentive servers – they truly do a wonderful job. Unfortunately, today was the last time we’ll be dining here. Our breakfast plates came out with multiple hairs in the food, which is completely unacceptable. While the service remains amazing, the kitchen quality and standards have gone downhill. After this experience, we can no longer trust the food coming out of the kitchen. Very disappointing end to a place we once loved.

Top service!!! As we walked in, Jordan greeted us and is very friendly. Our first time there. We google restaurants near us from after going to Fun-box, literally right around the corner. He really engaged with us and made us laugh. He was great with our kiddos. He was very helpful and asked chef for recommendations. I can’t even remember the last time a restaurant made us feel like this. Food was delicious and the atmosphere was perfect! Will definitely come back. Service makes all the difference! This was the second time coming here. I appreciated the bar tender coming to seat us when he noticed no one was at the front. Unfortunately, our waiter seemed a bit too busy. Everything took a while with him. The food was pretty good. We had the salmon BLT and chicken and beet salad. The chicken portion was big, but it was super dry. The best were the shrimp tacos. Very flavorful, indeed. This trip we were a little less impressed than the first time.

I love coming here. Bella Bru is such a lovely café. The coffee is consistently excellent rich, smooth, and clearly crafted with care. The environment is warm and inviting, making it a perfect place to relax, catch up with friends, or enjoy a quiet moment (especially during the weekends in the evening). The staff are truly awesome: friendly, welcoming, and attentive without ever feeling rushed. The food is also very good, fresh, and satisfying with a variety of options. This was my 3rd visit to the restaurant, and I really love the food and the service.
They have outdoor seating if you want to dine outside, as well as cozy indoor searing. The ambiance gives upscale Black Bear Diner vibes.
The customer service is kind and attentive. We were seated promptly, our orders were taken, and our food was hot and freshly prepared.
I had my 3 young adults with me, and two ordered the blackened salmon sandwich. One ordered the crab cake sandwich, and I ordered the salmon blt sandwich.

I have had both the salmon sandwich and the salad before. The crab cake sandwich looked so good, I wished I had given it a try. And the young lady who had it LOVED IT!!
The two who had the salads enjoyed them as well. I will say that after my first time coming here, I did a copy cat of the salad at home, so the girls knew what to expect. I brought them here so they could have it straight out of the kitchen where I had gotten the recipe idea.
I will be back. There is a crab cake sandwich with my name on it!
