It’s always bright, clean, and friendly at Bell The Cat! However today was a little bit extra. I shared the chicken cutlet sandwich with a friend and it did not disappoint! I shared a picture of my HALF, with salt and vinegar fries and a pickle. Honestly the breading was a light ,crispy blend and the chicken was perfectly cooked and juicy! I struggled to even finish my half. For those who care, they serve antibiotic free, natural chicken and extremely generous portions! The best lunch

Great place for a bite to eat and they have some delicious smoothies. I’m a huge fan of the dirty monkey. I would say if you are looking for a nice local place with a good menu, good staff, and friendly atmosphere look no further!!

Best carrot cake ever thank you, T!
I beg your pardon with the photo but honestly I had no idea when I took it that it would be such a big deal cause if anybody knows me they know that I don’t leave little messages about critiquing and so on BUT this dessert this CARROT CAKE in particular absolutely, deserves to be celebrated in every single way!! I can honestly say I was very, very grateful for every single delectable nibble. I’m not joking about this at all. The carrot cake took me legitimately three days to finish because I honestly hoarded it like gold. Thank You Again! And to anyone who is lucky enough to buy a piece for themselves. Truly,I’m so happy for you because every single bite tastes like the warmth in sunshine.. so brace yourself.

I had lunch this trip. We chose to dine in. It was very a pleasant experience. I had a vegetarian wrap. This was a huge wrap and the value was great. The meal was delicious. The wrap comes with chips and a delicious pickle. The smoothie was excellent and it was by far healthier than DD. Great, attentive servers who are well trained.

This is a decent quick stop if you are traveling with your RV. There is plenty of room to pull your rig in off to the right back side of the building. And they have Wifi which is important in this area of Maine, with limited cellular service (especially if you are hopping between campgrounds) – see pic
Food: Large menu with many choices of salads and sandwiches. They also had quite a few soups to choose from. We got the cup of soup and half sandwich option. We both had tuna sandwiches. I had a chicken and rice Thai curry soup (non-dairy) which was decent, creamy and thick and just a bit spicy. My husband had the clam chowder which he says was good. The tuna sandwiches were big and had a lot of tuna, without it was somewhat bland. Taste wise, the food was decent for what it was, kind of what you’d get from a cracker barrel, but nothing to write home about. For $13 you get big portions. But the food is expensive here.
Atmosphere: Seems to be a senior citizen hangout, not sure why, but it reminds me a little of those “cafeteria” style places. You order at the register counter, they give you a number for your table, and they bring out your food. B there is a nice large patio with outdoor seating which is dog friendly.
One particular negative is that the bathrooms were kind of gross and dirty. These were unisex individual bathrooms. The floor around the toilet in my room wet, like someone had missed the toilet, the seat was up and had to be wiped. Maybe it was the unisex issue (maybe men are more sloppy than women?). Anyways yuck, I told the staff.

Food was delicious, the takeout process was very easy, and quick friendly service 🙂 I got a turkey bacon melt and added avocado, home fries, and peach dreams smoothie with OJ base.

Amazing, off the beaten path of Rt 1 in Belfast breakfast and lunch restaurant. The staff was super friendly and helpful. There is plenty of indoor seating with a great atmosphere in the winter. There is outdoor seating when the season is right. The food was extremely tasty and quickly came to our table after we ordered at the front. If you would rather have take away order, they have that option as well. Just come in and go to the left. Kid friendly. Lots of parking.

This restaurant always has consistently good food and baked goods. We have been visiting for years and really like the new facility. Plenty of seating inside and out and there is a separate takeout area. Order at the counter, pick a seat, and then they bring the food to you. I highly recommend the chef salad and any panini. The breakfast is great as well. Last time I had the eggs Benedict. I wouldn’t hesitate to order it again.

One of the few places open on a Sunday while traveling up Route 1. It was a little crowded but the line moved quickly and service was fast and friendly. We received our food quickly considering the number of customers. My coffee was excellent and my daughter’s lox sandwich she said was very good. I had a half of an Italian sandwich which was flavorful but far too small for the cost. Next time I’ll know to order a whole sandwich. Location convenient and lots of parking.

Service is very personable. I’m a people watcher, and Georgia, you are amazing.
The restrooms are very clean.
Separate section for take out orders.
Would definitely recommend it!
