The food was delicious! We got the sampler plate, chicken and noodles and the brisket salad. It all did not disappoint. Very quaint, tables are in rooms of old home. Will definitely go back if in area again.

This place was absolutely delicious. We were visiting from out of town and tried the potato bowls, biscuits, banana pudding and lemonade. All homemade. All so yummy. They were very busy but one of the owners shared the story of their restaurant and was so kind. He brought out some food for my 7 month old to test. He was very kind and we were grateful for the hospitality. Beautiful service. Beautiful food. Lovely history.

I been following this restaurant and Facebook for a couple years now, and finally went with my daughter & granddaughter to try it yesterday. The building is so cutely decorated and inviting on the outside! We all loved our food. My daughter completely devoured her pulled pork sandwich in a matter of minutes lol. My granddaughter’s side salad was HUGE, and fresh and delicious. I got brisket noodles. The noodles were a bit softer than I normally like but the flavor was delicious. It was a bit warm in there but I overlook that with it being above 90° outside. Overall it was a great new experience! Our waitress was very kind and attentive to us. I definitely recommend!

This is our new favorite restauant! We love the old home feel. The unsweetened tea is by far the best I’ve ever had. I had the Homestead Beef Brisket & Noodles which was so very flavorful due to the smokey flavor. We can’t wait to try other menu items! We celebrated our 15th anniversary there, and it was amazing.

Everything here is absolutely fantastic! The food and the service.
The place is clean and everything is made in house.
My favorite is the Absolute Cobb Salad or is it the Brisket. It’s hard to decide!
You also can’t go wrong with the Banana Pudding or Cheesecake for dessert!

Tried this little hidden gem for the first time today. I had the pulled pork/brisket sampler both were tender and juicy. Portion was large for the price. I chose mashed potatoes and kickin Mac and cheese. The mashed potatoes was good. I personally didn’t care for the Mac n cheese the noodles was over cooked with little cheese or spice flavor. However I didn’t complain or I’m sure our amazing waitress Amy would have exchanged it. The house tea is different was good. The Bbq sauce was delicious as well as the cheesecake. The other party had the meatloaf which she said was really good but, wished it was served hot instead of room temperature.
The charm and atmosphere was very appealing.
The staff was fast and very friendly always checking to see how things was and if we needed anything.
Only down fall I seen was if walking or steps are a big factor I didn’t see a way in other than the front door that has a couple steps but no hand rails. It is possible I just missed another way in.
All in all I’d return!

I really wanted to like this place but it was just average at best. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich, “seasoned” green beans and sweet “house blend” ice tea.
Let’s spill the tea…the house blend sweet ice tea tastes like a watered down chai tea. 3/5 ⭐
Pulled pork sandwich – the bun was so so, a little dry. The smoked pulled pork was a little dry and lacked flavor. 2.5/5 ⭐
BBQ sauce – served on the side in a squeeze bottle. Tasted like a mashup up of Texas BBQ sauce and Carolina sauce. Sweet but vinegary. Not sure how I feel. 3/5 ⭐
“Seasoned” Green beans 2/5 ⭐ – bland!!!! There is no seasoning in the seasoned green beans! While served with onions and pork bits, there was no seasoning! I can’t remember the last time I’ve used a salt or pepper shaker at a restaurant but I used both with each bite! Not worth the $3.79!
Overall, I was not impressed. For around $20 for a sandwich, green beans and tea, I was expecting better.

This has got to be one of the best meals I have ever had, the brisket fell apart and was melt in your mouth tender. The banna pudding and bread pudding were delicious

A friend from out of town accompanied me on my first visit to this charming eatery. She immediately commented that the aroma of smoked meat that greets you as soon as you approach the building is a welcome diversion from the smell of the paper plant, something I barely even notice as a local.
We were immediately seated by a friendly server as soon as we walked in. We ordered the Homestead Pimento Cheese Dip served with tortilla chips as a starter. It’s a generous scoop of a very mild pimento cheese spread appealingly surrounded by tortilla chips.
My friend and I both ordered the Homestead Short Order Noodles with smoked brisket simmered in stock and served over mashed potatoes. It was a hearty portion served in a bowl with a roll on the side. I gobbled up every single morsel, leaving no room for dessert in my satisfied belly.
I plan to return here soon with my parents, who I know will love this place. I’m anxious to explore more of the menu.

We were off on an adventure recently and stopped for lunch at Bell Farms. We had a fabulous meal, comfort food at its best. The service was friendly and efficient, the decor is historic and inviting. Highly recommend and we will definitely be back.
