WINGS: One of the first bars I’ve been to where the food is the clear winner here. This place seems like it’s a hidden gem & needs more recognition.
The bartender was incredibly friendly & attentive. Place was clean & the food was fresh & flavorful. The wings with Matt’s Mix sauce are awesome & the smash burger was great. Definitely get the curly fries.

What can I add about a place already known for its excellence. The Cuban Egg Rolls are amazing and none like it in Tampa that I have found. They are a close your eyes delight. Service is fast and quick with an authentic smile. Beer perfectly cold and the mixes are competition quality. We also had Matt’s wings, Garlic curds, a Steak/Cheese, and a Meatball sandwich. Wow to all of them. The Bel Mar Saloon is a local favorite that is a must visit when in S Tampa. Enjoy!

It’s a small neighborhood spot but full of great beers, great food and the staff is A1. We walked into it being packed and had to stand and they treated us and accommodated us with the same amount of time and care as everyone else. And they have A lot of tvs in their inside and outside dining space.

Been going for years but have to say the food has been going down the wings are smaller. The service is still top notch but the issue is the owners still allow people to smoke cigarettes on the deck even though food is being served and it’s directly by the entrances to the restaurant.

Great little bar for wings, their wings are on my 3rd best in south tampa. Plenty of tvs. Has a nice cozy feel to it. The staff is super nice. Drawbacks are the parking sucks and there isn’t much and the price it a little much for what you’re getting.

With “Saloon” in the name I kind of expected typical bar food. But, they kicked it up a notch by paying attention to ingredients that give them a few degrees of separation from other bars. Their grilled cheese sandwich includes cheddar, gouda, parmesan, and american cheeses, along with bacon. It’s served stacked.
I chose the meatball sub which includes a fresh toasted hoagie roll, 3 hand-rolled meatballs, marinara sauce, and grated melted cheese. It was disappointing. The ground meat lacked firmness and flavor. A better ground beef and more prominent spices would liven it up. The marinara sauce was good, but there wasn’t enough there to carry the dish. The crinkle cut fries also lacked the flavor of better potatoes, and the Old Bay- type spice that covered them could be replaced. It was a nice day and sitting outside seemed like a good idea. It must have seemed so to the woman who sat close smoking clove cigarettes as well. The patio, while nice, is small. Since it’s a bar they do allow smoking outside, so be prepared. Fast and very friendly staff and good beer selection make it worth a try.

Small bar in S. Tampa. Staff was nice and had the Matt’s Mix flavor( hot wing sauce, parmesan and garlic) on chicken wings and they fantastic.
