That lo mein has the best flavor I think I’ve ever tasted in a lo mein! Really thin noodles but oh so good! Reminds me of a place in the NW burbs of Chicago, but even better! Best Chinese in Portland I’ve had yet. I won’t miss living nearer to the buffets at all! I can’t afford takeout too often, but 2nd time and it’s spicy this time! It’s just so good!!

This place is fantastic! Super nice folks working the little place. A lot of food for a killer price and it was super flavorful. Made fresh to order and the lady chatted with me while I waited after noticing that I was reading a book about Jackie Chan. She thought that was pretty cool , so was making hilarious karate action moves and noises. Come out to Portland frequently, so can say with 100% confidence I’ll be back.

The salt and pepper shrimp here is one of my favorite dishes in all of Portland. Lots of food at a good price. Definitely recommend if you have a craving for some good Chinese food.

I placed an order on door dash. They said it would be ready by 6:17. The order kept pushing 7 minutes at a time and then I called them. They said that the order would be ready at 7. Showed up at 7 and they fed me the same line as on the phone. Finally got my food at 7:24. Over an hour after it was supposed to be ready. If this food is Michelin quality then it’s worth it. Sadly I expect it to be C grade at best.
Update. Food wasn’t even C grade.

Food/Taste/Flavor: 5/5 – surprisingly impressed by this food truck! We ordered a Pepper-Salt Chicken (#5) and a House Special Chicken Spicy (#10) and both came with a scoop of white rice and brown rice. Very generous serving, seasoned well, and delicious overall. The pepper-salt chicken was wok fried on the spot but was a bit dry. However, the flavor was wonderful! The House special was a coated chicken in a slightly sweet and spicy sauce with carrots, onions, bell peppers, and mushroom. Amazing flavor again and quite an intense kick.
Ambience: n/a – food truck that looks clean and neat but the surrounding area didn’t feel the best. There were a few police that showed up on either side to speak with the people spread around the sidewalks.
Service: 5/5 – attentive and quick to service. An older man drove up a few minutes after we placed our order to cook the salt and pepper chicken on a wok!
Value for price: 5/5 – yummy food, generous portions, reasonable price. Absolutely loved it and would want to try other dishes!

Authentic literal mom and pop home cooking. The special stir fried dry Noodle was literal comfort food, packed with flavor and large hits of meat and shrimp. The mapo tofu was a little over sauced but it sure went down nicely with the fried rice. The portions are awesome and the price point is perfect. No frills, authentic home cooking!
It is next to a circle of food trucks with available outside seating. Short walk from powell’s.

I love this place!
Years ago, I smelled someone’s food when they were walking by. I asked where it was from and here we are!
The nicest Asian couple run this cart. I always feel better after grabbing some Beijing chicken and going home to curl up with some YouTube.
I hope they stay or maybe expand to a brick and mortar,.. as I’ll be devastated if they ever leave. (As so many of my fav Asian food carts have over the years)

Best choice for downtown Chinese food! Delicious and filling portions. So many options for a little food cart. It’s hard to choose, and the family staff is so nice! Love the Orange Chicken and Lo Mein. Can’t wait to go back next time for Won Ton soup and BBQ Pork Fried Rice.
