A newly opened Chinese skewers, not many tables inside, a bit crowded.
The menu has quite a few choices, but since the weather was too hot, we only wanted skewers and cold dishes.

Chicken, chicken cartilage, beef, and tripe are all delicious, the meat is very soft, and each one has cumin seeds. The taste is not salty but has a strong aroma.

Appetizers tofu skin was delicious and refreshing because of the vinegar. I didn’t like the Enoki mushrooms because they were too sweet. The squid was a bit too soft and lacked texture. The grilled oysters were too big not soft enough ( I prefer raw oyster , lol )

Service was friendly and fast , although there are only 2 waiters, they are very diligent.

BBQ tasted okay but it’s overpriced. The pork feet rice is pretty bad. Rice and cabbage are cold. The pork feet have no flavor. The scallops are so oily. Can’t taste anything but oil.

They have chicken heart skewers! I love those. The stinky tofu is very stinky and not as spicy or sour as i would like (I think maybe I like the stinky tofu at moon tea better but I’m not sure). I also like the skewer pricing which is around $4-$9. I liked the beef noodle soup too, it had these delicious meaty bits in it (maybe intestines).

Second time visiting – I have more notes.

The roasted sausage skewers are not cut as nicely as their menu picture suggests and I would not order it again. It just feels like a boring microwave sausage.

The roasted pork belly skewer is a 10 outta 10. Lots of seasoning. The meat and fat mix is a great balance of salty, chewy and soft.

The grilled eggplant – it’s a small dish kind of flat but very pretty, well seasoned, yummy, and an explosion of garlic. Prepare your tums.

A new hidden gem! Convenient location, great prices. Definitely check it out if you’re a fan of skewers. Highly recommend the scallops and the chicken hearts.

It’s about time Sunnyvale had a skewer place! Their spice seasoning is a little different than the other Chinese skewer places in the bay. Seating is limited and I expect as they gain popularity there will be a wait. Skewers came out at an okay rate. It’s not any faster than any other skewer place.

The lamb skewers here are good, remind me of the ones in China. Super flavorful and cooked just right. I also tried the Jinan pork casserole and the Nanchang rice noodles, and both were solid. The portions are decent, and the prices are pretty fair too. Definitely will come back again

The best Chinese bbq in the Bay Area! The service is amazing and the quality of the food seems fresh enough. There are also a variety of beverage options as well as some soups and noodles if you don’t feel like eating too much bbq.

A fairly new Chinese restaurant in the Homestead and Stelling strip mall specialized in grilled foods from northern China. We sampled an assortment of skewers such as grilled lamb, grilled beef with pineapple, grilled chicken, grilled cauliflower, grilled green beans, grilled potatoes, and grilled eggplant, all seasoned with cumin, chili (very mild), and some other spices. The grilled eggplant is flavored with lots of garlic and spices – very tasty. The foods were quite tasty but the meat could have been better cuts and fresher. Surprisingly, one of the big hits turned out to be the pig trotter rice bowl. We learned from our waitress that the chef is from the Canton area in China and so some of these Cantonese dishes (on the opposite side of the menu from the grilled page) are very authentic. Our waitress was very attentive. This is a nice casual place and a good addition to the strip mall where there are already some good and authentic Asian restaurants.

Been here a couple times, I was happy to find a place that actually serves this type of skewers! I always see these at festivals, where the skewer stalls have super long lines, so it’s nice to be able to get it from an actual sit-down restaurant.

I went during lunchtime on Sunday, there weren’t too many people there so the food came out pretty quickly. I ordered beef, chicken heart, cauliflowers, and stinky tofu. They were all pretty tasty. The beef is a little fattier than I like, but it’s just personal preference. One note – I ordered with “normal amount of spice”, but I didn’t really taste much spiciness. Also, the server was nice and helped me figure out a good amount of food to order.

Overall a pleasant place to get this kind of skewer bbq meat if that’s what you’re craving. The restaurant itself is bright and clean, not much decor but I’m not here for that. Will keep coming back when I have skewer cravings!

Originally I planned to have Peking duck next door but it didn’t work out so came here instead. TLDR, order the BBQ items but skip the other non BBQ items.

Chinese BBQ is a popular street food or late night snack and it seems it’s becoming more popular in NorCal finally. This is one of the better places in terms of taste when it comes to the BBQ items. First, as I stated earlier don’t order the non BBQ items such as Hainan chicken which is cold and not tender at all. The chicken rice is also way off. I think they put it on the menu just so parents can order for their kids while they themselves can order the BBQ. The beef tripe casserole is better but still I think BBQ is where the restaurant shines.

The BBQ items such as lamb kebabs are really good. It’s a good mixture of fatty chucks along with lean meat that’s done properly. The spices are not overbearing and can be a little grainy so I suggest the restaurant go lighter on the sauce. The chicken heart is a little too well done and doesn’t look like the photos. What I do like is that there are items such as lamb tendon which is rarely offered in other BBQ restaurants. The corn is also interesting because they didn’t cook the whole cob but instead put individual kernels on the stick.

They warm your items using teacup candles which I thought is clever.

The restaurant is surprisingly popular among families with young kids as I saw many families came to sit down. The parking in front of the restaurant is small and hard to find but just go to the other side of the McDonald’s and you should be able to find some.

Overall a decent addition to the Chinese BBQ restaurants in the Bay Area.
