Really cool place on a nice day. It’s an open air bar, so when the weather is nice, it’s one of the best places on the seawall. They have a great beer selection. Outside food is welcome. Staff is very welcoming. Highly recommend.

We love this place! Great views & tasty drinks! They have an excellent craft beer selection. My husband says they make a great old fashioned. Nick makes an excellent bloody mary! They have plenty of tvs for sports. During football season, they show Dallas Cowboys games in their back room. This can also be rented out for an event. We will continue to return for the great drinks and friendly service!

Went to watch Sunday football in the back room, as we heard it was a good hangout for the Cowboys game. I was charged $4 for one light beer and my husband was charged $4 for two light beers (we were on separate tabs). Weird I got charged double, but not a big enough deal for me to dig into it with the bartender since it was only $2.00 and you can’t really be upset about a $4.00 beer. They were doing raffles each quarter and you could win a small prize if your name was drawn. Super cute and a great way to encourage people to come in! We did enjoy that they provided sandwiches, chips and cookies. I’m not sure if they have a kitchen in premises, but it was still very much appreciated that food was provided. However, we didn’t enjoy that there were kids there. I get it, it’s 100% legal to allow minors in a bar with adult supervision (whether it’s appropriate or not is another question). Most of the kids there weren’t a bother, but there was one in particular that made our whole experience unenjoyable. I can sympathize with families wanting to share in the tradition of Sunday football, but maybe don’t do it at a bar.

Modest selection of in-house brews (IPA and chocolate milk stout on a recent visit). Supplemented by a diverse blend of Texan and independent options, including several easy drinkers, IPAs, heavies, and sours. Small but excellently curated bourbon selection, including Pappy, Blanton’s, and Jefferson’s. Laid back atmosphere, clearly popular with locals.

Galveston, Texas has many places to kick back and drink delicious craft beer. Most of them are beer bars scattered throughout the island, but there are a few places that brew their own as well and one of them is Beerfoot Brewery.
I have visited Beerfoot many times since it first opened. It’s a small brewery with a small brewing system and they only brew a small number of their own beers. On my most recent visit, they had only one of their own, house brewed beers on tap. This was a bit of a disappointment, since I wanted to try more of what they brew. In the past, I have been there when they had as many as three of their own beers on tap, and this is certainly better, but it is still less than what you find at most breweries.
What Beerfoot Brewery lacks in serving beers of its own, it makes up for in the number of beers from other breweries. There are about 20 or so taps of beer and dozens of bottles and cans, most of which seem to favor Texas brewed suds. In this respect, Beerfoot Brewery is like a beer bar that also happens to brew beer of its own. This sets it apart from other breweries, the majority of which serve more of their own beers than they do their competitors beers. For quick reference, the beers on tap are spelled out on a chalkboard, behind the bar. This is nice, but it would be better if the beer names also showed the name of the brewery that makes them. As a craft beer writer and seeker of new brew, I like to know what brewery brews the beer and with a system like this, you don’t know unless you ask, which takes additional time.
For entertainment, Beerfoot Brewery has a foosball table and pool table. The foosball table was broken when I was there, but the pool table was in functional order so the rest of the family spent time shooting pool. The wide, open window in front is nice, because it means good views of the Gulf of Mexico. Parking is somewhat of an issue, though. You may very well have to search up and down adjacent streets to find a place to park, then make your way to Beerfoot on foot.
Galveston, Texas is all about fun in the sun and beer is big part of any fun occasion. Beerfoor Brewery is a good place to kick back and down a few brews and its close proximity to the Gulf makes it perfect for a beer break. It does lack in a few areas, but the beer selection makes Beerfoot Brewery worth a visit.

Very friendly and funny bartender. Great selection. Comfortable. Lots of free peanuts. Their own beers were alright. Only had two of their own at the time with one more (an IPA) on the way. Their own brews had a pretty specific taste. Will come back.
