We had been wanting to come here for so long and we were absolutely not disappointed. Being from Florida, I’m a bit more critical with seafood. The raw oysters were fresh and delicious. The crab cakes had a beautiful crust on the outside and were moist, creamy and flavorful on the inside. The lobster roll was filled with large, buttery pieces of lobster and the roll itself was fluffy and complimented very well. The cajun shrimp pasta was OUT OF THIS WORLD. Rich, creamy, flavorful. The service was a lovely, as well as the environment itself. It felt modern but warm. The owners and staff should be very proud of what they built! Will be repeat customers and will be recommending to everyone! Thank you!

I finally hit this place up to see what the rave was about and plus I’m a seafood person year round non stop I spoiled myself with a #7 , side salad, calamari and a margarita.
Five stars for customer service, damn good margarita and for the food. Although I wasn’t a fan of the calamari I didn’t let it go to waste. I’m told the walleye fish is known here in ND and is the best, so that’s what I got and it did not disappoint.

We weren’t expecting to love it as much as we did. Not the normal type of food I would go to a restaurant to eat, but it was very good. My wife loved her lobster tacos. My halibut, walleye and spiral fries were crazy good. All Gluten free in a dedicated fryer. Great menu with a large gluten free menu as well. The Old Fashioned was also well done. Parking is tricky, but I believe you can park for 2 hours in the public ramp for free.

This was my second visit to Beer & Fish Company. My first visit left a lot to be desired so I was hoping that my second time around would be awesome…
For starters I was seated in an area with a direct view of what I assume to be the pot storage for the restaurant. I love an open kitchen concept but this definitely was not that. I ordered grilled oysters, shrimp scampi, crab dip, a crab cake, and crab dip. The best dish on the table was the oysters! They were a little small but had amazing flavor. The pasta was a bit dry, but thank heaven for the sauce the oysters were covered in, I just tossed my pasta in it. The crab dip should be removed from the menu immediately. It was very loose, fishy, and had absolutely no crab meat real or imitation. The crab cake needed salt and a little love. I didn’t have a drink but I could tell by the patrons next to me the margaritas are awesome. I recommend checking out Beer & Fish during happy hour to save yourself some money, trust me. It’s an awful feeling to spend upwards of $90 for a meal that was not awesome.

Loved the crab cake appetizer. Delicious and soft. I wished I had ordered two and not just the one
The fish batter was just right. Not too crunchy or salty. I tried their fried Thai pineapple rice for the first time and it did not disappoint.
The only negative I would say is their coleslaw. At least to me, it was bland.
You have to walk down the alley to find the restaurant but it is a hidden gem in Fargo. I will visit again.

This seafood restaurant is located in the heart of downtown Fargo and has a great atmosphere. The broken rudder dark beer is to die for! The manager, Derek, is on top of things and very attentive to customers’ needs. When it comes to seafood in Fargo, I can’t think of a better choice. Five stars!!!

I had a hunger for some fish and drove to Fargo to find some. A very nice menu and lots of fish or seafood to pick from. I settled on the cod and went with the lobster bisque. WOW, the bisque was flavorable, thick, and loaded with lobster. The cod was lightly breaded and juicy. The cole slaw with cucumber was a big surprise. The lobster roll and clam chowder was another hit. I don’t care for clam chowder, but this one was pretty tasty. The lobster roll was packed with lobster and the hint of drawn butter made it even better. The service was outstanding. Lots of smiles and they checked on us when needed. It was my first time here, but it won’t be my last. We needed a place like this in Grand Forks.

Had dinner here last weekend with a friend and honestly it was a pretty good experience overall. The grilled salmon was fresh and had nice flavor, not overly seasoned, just right. Clam chowder was hearty too, maybe a little thick for my taste but still tasty. Staff was friendly and the servise was quick even tho they were kinda busy. Prices felt reasonable for seafood. The place isn’t super fancy, more relaxed vibe, which I actually liked. I’d definately come back to try a few other dishes next time.

I know what you are thinking, maybe seafood is not the choice when in north Dakota. But here we are. Great service, good beer list, and really tasty food. The tuna and guac is really really really good. Fish was tasty and they have lots of different combo options. We tried to come back a second night but they closed early. Until next time beer and fish co.

Loved this place! Our server Lilly was fantastic she suggested the #7 which I had. Loved the batter on both the fish and shrimp. Reading the reviews someone claimed the batter was tasteless. I disagree it was yummy even without sauce. The shrimp batter is exceptional! We also had the lunch special Halibut Baja tacos. They are packed with flavor and some of the best fish tacos I have ever had. Fish tacos are a food item we like to try when we travel south to Florida. These are better than any we have had in Florida. They are served with guacamole and salsa & chips plus they have avocado on them too. A great value! The clam chowder with a hint of dill is so delicious. The bread is a meal in itself, so yummy.
Highly recommend dining here. Can’t wait to dine here again!
