The building and it’s architecture is worth the visit alone! A beautiful old library, the high arch ways, the woodwork, all worth visit! Now for the food, it was good, prices were reasonable. For an appetizer we had an Ahi tuna with spicy Sriracha, good but the tuna was bite chunks, which was just odd. Salads came out and my blu cheese dressing was on the salad not on the side, as I prefer. Too much dressing, bland and tasteless. The main entrees arrived. I had the Coconut encrusted Grouper, which was good, a bit overcooked. The risotto was excellent, even the broccoli was cooked nice. My date had a Lemon Caper Snapper over risotto special, which was overcooked and completely covered in the lemon, caper sauce. Again, that risotto was excellent too.
Service? Our server was new, young, and inexperienced but she tried real hard and did a good job. When I would of had a martini, I went for a glass of wine to help her out. Overall, I would go back and try something else and would still recommend it just to see the place! Oh, and if you love Bourbon, the so many behind the bar, ot was crazy, just go when they have an experienced bartender working!

Should have cancelled the rest of the meal after the French Onion soup was brought out – a mix of 75% raw chunks of onion in lightly flavored beef water French Onion soup does not make. Prime rib was okay. All food was served luke warm.

Such an incredible experience! The food, the atmosphere, the staff, and the prices were fabulous! They took the former Carnegie Library and refurbished it into a truly unique dining experience. The aesthetic alone is worth the trip, but the food is packed with flavor, and we had plenty of leftovers! We were encouraged to look around and explore l…I can’t wait until we are back in the area to visit again!

You pass through the overly bright bar area to get to the dining area which is completely contrasted. There is something to be said about the atmosphere and ambiance of dim lighting, but as the sun went down, the room got pretty dark that it was hard to actually see my plate, until some strange lighting came on like a camera flash to the face.
No notes on the twice baked potato. The fries were good, especially when dipped in the kind of au jus sauce that can’t with the steak. The grilled shrimp were okay eating around the chunks of charcoal where it was over-grilled. The raspberry dipping sauce they pair with the shrimp on the menu just tasted like raspberry vinaigrette dressing; was hoping for something more. Ordered steak medium rare–one end was rare, the other medium well, and in between was medium to well done at various different cuts. Completely inconsistent and not a single section of it how I ordered.
The best part was the service, and my server was new, so props to her.
Went here on the recommendation of a local hotel, and was expecting better.

Decent meal. Interesting location. We saw more of the other waitress and not our own. The steak was ordered medium rare. It came out medium well. Sent back and came out rare. Everything else was pretty good. Won’t add this to our list of places we will drive to specifically. May try it again if we are in the area. I didn’t get her name, but the waitress in the ortho boot was great. Thank you!

Went here for Valentines Day dinner and was seriously bummed out. Stated with fried cheese curds $12 for 7 small soggy curds. I ordered 2 beef on wheck medium rare and revived 2 well done and some beef was loaded with fat and chewy. My wife ordered the steak and shrimp with extra shrimp. Dinner come out minus the extra shrimp but they fixed quickly. The steak was good but the shrimp had a strong smell to them but she said where good. Her complain was nothing had flavor nor did mine. Unfortunately this isn’t the old Beef Eaters, if your looking for that level of dining do yourself a favor and make the trip to Beef and Barrel. Beef eaters is ok but for the prices you would expect the best. $114 and was very disappointed with our meals. They have the same price as Beef and Barrel but the quality is nowhere near the same level. Beef Eaters used to be a staple in Bradford and I preferred it to Beef and Barrel back in the day but them days have come and gone. We recently moved and Beef eaters is closest to us but next trip will be to Olean. If Beef Eaters wants to keep their prices they seriously need to up the quality and quantity. I have heard it wasnt as good as it once was but I didnt expect it to be as bad as it is. The positive of the afternoon our waitress was very nice and did a great job but the meal itself left alot to be desired. If your looking for quality and quantity do yourselves as favor and go to Olean as Beef Eaters quality no longer fits the price range.

This place is absolutely awesome. I was expecting some burger joint when I heard the name, it’s actually a beautiful restaurant situated in an old library. Our waitress Jessica was great, the food was delicious and the prices were very reasonable. I wish we lived closer so we could visit more often.

This restaurant is very very cool! Stunningly decorated In an awesome old library building. 100% worth it just for that. The food was well put together and very tasty. The staff were warm and welcoming and very attentive the entire meal. I would definitely go again to try more of the menu! Clean, fun, friendly and amazing atmosphere! I was totally shocked when I got the bill! Their prices are excellent!

An elegant glimpse of the past as you walk in the building. What was the library in its beginning, they’ve transformed it into a great dining experience. The tables boast old newspaper clippings of a gone era, reminders of the history of this area. We ordered the stuffed seafood mushrooms, delicious, for our appetizer. I had the traditional roast beef and gravy with a side of hot German potato salad, excellent flavors. My husband had the New York strip with a side of seafood chowder. We were impressed with the meals for the price and absolutely loved the atmosphere with its iconic past on display!
