This is my second time visiting Beef Shack, and while the food is truly delicious and consistent, the customer service needs serious improvement. The staff lacks basic courtesy and professionalism, which really affects the overall experience. In particular, Diana A showed zero customer service skills. A simple greeting, politeness, and respectful communication go a long way, and unfortunately none of that was present.
If management can address the customer service issues and provide proper training, this could easily become an amazing place. The food is great, now the service needs to match it.

My family and I tried this restaurant, recently opened in Wood. Dale.
The atmosphere was great! I really liked the decor. It did not feel like the building was previously a Burger King, at all. Nicely done on the inside. It was very clean and well lit. Each table has paper towel rolls. Made it convenient. Very easy to order at the front and customer service was great. Prices were very fair.
After ordering, it took literally minutes to get our food. Barely await after getting fountain drinks.
We loved the food was great! We tried the garlic beef sandwich which was Italian beef on garlic bread topped with a bunch of cheese…. Delicious. The bread was nice and wet from the beef, just like it should be, I absolutely loved the garlic bread. It was a nice addition to an Italian beef sandwich.
We also tried a bacon cheeseburger. The burger had great flavor, tasty bacon and fresh ingredients. It had a little bit of Chipotle mayo, but that’s about it in the way of sauces. I like a saucy sandwich, but I would get that burger again and sauce it up!
We got a large fry and that was more than enough for the family to share. The fries seemed very fresh, but absolutely no salt. Thankfully they had salt packets. We also tried it with the beef shack sauce. It was a pre-made cup and I’m not sure what the flavor was, but it wasn’t bad.
The family decided we will absolutely be back here again to try a few new things. They have a very simple menu, in the best way. Not overwhelming, just some really good Staples: beef sandwiches, burgers, grilled chicken sandwiches, hot dogs, fries and shakes. The shakes come in chocolate and vanilla. We didn’t try them this time, but we’ll Be back!

Solid 4 of 5 stars, the specials are great value and the quality is on par, given the the location I will be expecting to eat hear and skip Portillos. Saturday is $1 shakes, there is a dollar hot dog special also.

I think beef shack was built on the bones of Zippy’s, which was good. Had no expectations going in and it was a fantastic sandwich. Not like Portillo’s, the cheesy beef is different. I really, really liked it. Loved the way it was toasted with the cheese and peppers. I’ll be back often.

Just got back from NEW Wooddale Beef Shack..ordered two beefs to go..wet..or dipped whatever..but juicy..
Got home omg dry… way too dry..and meat less then we ever got at other beef shacks..
The two bread ends were hard..and no meat ..SEE PICS..both ends dry and empty.what size sanwich remains..UGH!
.no juice..and that is NOT what we paid for..Bread!?!
I called..talked to a gal..she seemed not interested..really.?
We are in the their neighborhood…..and we talk to others..
If this place is going to succeed. They have to tune into what people order. Mistakes do happen..but..but this is
the worse dry beef sandwiches we ever had..unacceptable..
Not going back..and it will not last there til they get it right..

The place is great. Great atmosphere very plain and simple.
I like the towels by each table.
I had the full beef with full fries and a drink combo.
The beef was delicious, not soaked and the bread bun was not soggy. The bread bun was smaller compared to others that have a beef sandwich. The fries are HUGE! Even for a guy like me its too much. I like the fries because you can see the potato skins.
The fries were a little too greasy and could be fried a little longer
Beware, annoying tip screen…. it just over-rated with tipping everywhere you go.

Beef Shack is my favorite! Everything on their menu is delicious. They have the BEST fresh cut fries, to go with whatever you are craving. Their Sunday beef bundle deal is hard to beat!

Right off of Irving next to the jewel. It’s the old Burger King location. Amazing food and they offer great deals throughout the week. Friendly staff and they just opened so everything is clean and nice!
Also the Barq’s red crème soda is their specialty and I HAVE to get it every time!

Ordered online to pick up around 1pm, excellent service, its also very busy, food was delicious, but next time I would only order without mustard and ketchup. But would recommend coming back for another burger and also dont forget there fries!!!!
