I don’t like to leave bad reviews, but the food here is not good. I ordered the beef and cheese sandwich, french fries, Pepsi and Mahi Mahi sandwich. The roast beef on the beef and cheese was dry and my buns was brittle. The fries were cold not even like warm. The Pepsi had no fizz to it. The Mahi sandwich lacked flavor but I didn’t care for the bun it was paired with. I was just driving through Royal Oak and decided to try this restaurant.
Because I had never seen it before. I will give them one more try. Maybe one of their burgers, but I will not pull off unless I know I have hot fries. I was the only one in the drive thru and It took about 20 minutes to receive my order.

Worth the wait! It’s definitely not fast food, because they make everything fresh to order, but once I got my meal, I was incredibly satisfied. I love the fact they offer gluten-free options and veggie options. They are also reasonably priced!

Food is good and the staff that were there were the nicest, but the place is very unstaffed. Took ~30 minutes for an order, and fries were cold when we got them. The strawberry shortcake shake was very good.

I unfortunately ordered through DoorDash and they left out two of my loaded french fries. I don’t know how you can make two burgers and not make two orders of loaded french fries when it’s on the order. Unfortunately, my DoorDash driver shut his door when I was trying to flag him down because I could feel in the bag, but there weren’t any fries. Then I texted him and he did not respond. I’m not rude or I would’ve just clicked that. I never got the order but that’s not how I roll. I know it was a Saturday evening at 7 PM so they were probably busy but how do you forget two orders of loaded fries? Also, there was no cheese on my burger that I paid for, no tomato, no ketchup, no mustard, wilted, lettuce, but mayonnaise of which I don’t even trust because this place is basically an overpriced fast food joint. Yeah, the burger only cost me 10 something because of the extra cheese that I didn’t get and condiments that you have to pay extra for – I would have gladly paid five dollars more for a really good bar burger than overpaying for a dried out burger that I could’ve got from a fast food restaurant. I guess this is why I’ve never gone there since they’ve opened and they are literally a quarter of a mile from my home. I will tell you I am a vegetarian 90% of the time but once every 4 to 5 months, I will eat a burger. Nothing else only a burger and the meat did not taste that great. I used to be a cook so I can pretty much tell quality meat. I’ll stick to veggie burgers from now on and I’m sure they sell far too many beef burgers for me to even risk getting a vegetarian burger from there because it’s probably one that has sat in a freezer for six months. I know that there are a lot of people that don’t care about service these days. I guess I should’ve picked up my order myself so I could’ve felt the bag and known that two large boxes of french fries were not in this tiny bag. Welcome to 2026 and welcome in the next 10 to 15 years When professionals are this lackadaisical.

I stopped by Beef-A-Roo and had a mixed experience. First off, the staff was super friendly—they thanked me for coming in, which I really appreciated. I ordered a roast beef and cheese sandwich with a medium fry. The food was decent, but the portions left something to be desired. The medium fries were about the size of a McDonald’s small, and the roast beef was a bit saltier than I’d prefer. It might’ve just been an off day, so I’ll probably give them another shot.
On a lighter note, I couldn’t stop laughing at a clearly fake review I came across, where someone claimed they got smacked in the face with a pan. Safe to say, no pans were flying during my visit!
Three stars for the kind service and potential. Looking forward to trying them again.

I’ve been here more than I’d like to admit in last few months lol! I get the Dubai choc strawberry cup and it’s the best one in the area and I’ve tried several. Very fresh. Tonight I got the “lovely cookie.” I’m working my way thru the menu. Very very good

My 3rd and last visit to this place. They have messed up my order every time. Today I requested no pickles on my burger and they were on it. Also, employees wear gloves for food handling, but also witnessed them touching several other things in the kitchen with same gloves on including the register.

Been going here for a month now. Food is really good an fresh since they make it while you wait. Prices are really affordable, and the two young guys that work there are friendly. They need to advertise more though… I live 4 blocks away and didnt even know about them till a month ago

Top notch service. We dealt with a car break down while two hours out, and they were very accommodating to us with our 4 kids including a newborn. Also provided us with great food! Took some recommendations and they were all very good including the cheese curds. The shakes were amazing as well!
