Had very high expectations but it all simmered down in minutes! Looks great and fancy and all, but the menu is completely different when you go there, it’s not what you see on Google Maps & go! Don’t trust that, too pricey for not so great food! What bothered me is, how unusual to just attract customers with low prices and when they actually order, it’s a completely different story!
I don’t care paying, but expect to have good food! I paid a $70 for nothing! Wasted experience
Quantity pretty less for the price. The stars are only for the service
My wife and I celebrated a special milestone at Beech Restaurant and Bar in Jamestown, Rhode Island – the anniversary of when we first laid eyes on each other (03/08/2020)!
From the moment we walked in, the charming decor and inviting atmosphere set the perfect tone for our celebration. The impeccable cleanliness of the restaurant was particularly noteworthy.
Our culinary journey began with warm, freshly baked bread served with butter that simply melted in our mouths. The mushroom appetizer was absolutely exceptional – truly next-level delicious! For our main course, we both enjoyed the chicken Parmesan, which was so generous we had enough for a delightful lunch the following day.
The cocktails complemented our meal perfectly, adding an extra special touch to our anniversary dinner.
If you find yourself in Jamestown, Rhode Island, Beech Restaurant and Bar is a must-visit destination for a memorable dining experience.

Our server, Hailey, was exceptional, remaining patient and courteous despite the specific requests from our party. We were celebrating one of the members return to Newport and decided to start with a bottle of Taittinger champagne. For appetizers, we enjoyed calamari, a hummus plate, Burrata salad, and sticky ribs for the rest of our group.
The calamari was good, but I felt it could have been described better, and it needed a touch more aioli as it was lightly drizzled on the plate. The hummus plate was nice but rather average. However, the Burrata was fantastic, with excellent seasoning and a delightful salad with tomatoes – a great choice.
The entree choices are great, lots of variety for everyone, either you’re looking for a seafood or meat dish. Scallops are to die for, as well as the seasonal fish.
Overall, our experience at the Beech was as wonderful as always, and we look forward to returning soon!

Very nice, a bit noisy, but great. Service was very good.
They should add to their website that the Taproom is only accessible via stairs.
The calamari was very good. The mussels were good, but in a spicy sauce. The short ribs were awesome!
I will say the lobster rolls were extremely disappointing and small. Not worth &28 !!!
Fish and chips were good. Duck and salmon were good as well!
Dessert was amazing!
Skip the lobster roll!!
There is a concern about how loud it gets in the restaurant. At times the conversation was difficult, due to the poor acoustics.
