Food was pretty good, service was good, thank you Andrew. They offer a quite a few menu options. There is a restaurant upstairs and a bar/restaurant downstairs. Based on the outside, I expected it to be more historically themed inside.

Our first dinning experience at the restaurant the crab dip is out of this world good. Please don’t change it!!! Prices are very reasonable. Our waitress was very friendly and the food came out so quick. We’ll be back! Edited for 2nd time back review great food as always perfect temperature. Quick service. It was a tad cold downstairs I would reccomend a sweatshirt.

If you love Seafood you’ll love this place, and coming from Florida I like to think I know my Seafood. Great atmosphere, love the history of the building the lounge in the basement with the pool table is a lot of fun
Got to know the owners and they really are great people, very accommodating and really had a good time getting to know them
Hopefully work sends us back here so we can have the pleasure of visiting again!

Who would think you would find delightful fresh seafood in the mountains of PA? Delicious crab cakes, mussels, sweet bay scallops and creamy crab soup were our choices of the night and we couldnt be more pleased. Super cozy old school tavern atmosphere with attentive service and conversation by the owners. Wonder way to spend a Bedford evening. And, plenty of parking!!!

I hate writing a negative review but this was just not an enjoyable meal. We had crab dip to start and the fried shrimp and fried oyster dinners and the food wasn’t good. Nothing tasted fresh and it lacked seasoning. The couple running the front of the house are really nice and the tavern has a cool history, but I can’t recommend eating here.

Disappointed. Have been waiting to try this place for so long . Fish was really soggy , buffalo wings tasted where hard , shrimp wantons where decent. All had a hint of the same flavor , old bay in old grease .

Small town eatery… old building but modestly decorated…2 man band was playing when I for there around 8 pm… it was a little weird that I was they only person dining, everyone else had cocktails. Food was good, so I’m not complaining

Just spent 2 1/2 hrs. at this place to order crab dip and a cheese steak. The atmosphere is so dismal and dark. Not a place you want to spend that much time. Our server Andrew was not attentive at all. Had to keep asking for drink refills etc. Again, it was 2 1/2 hrs. The cheese steak was burnt and the crab dip was absolutely terrible. When the couple behind us left. The woman came over to our table and asked if we got the crab dip? I said we did and she laughed and said it was cream cheese and seafood seasoning. No crab!!! I told her I tasted cream cheese and ranch dressing. She said she will not be back and I said the same. Never again!!! Also, the fish sandwich had to be eaten with a fork because it was so soggy and the sweet tea tasted like chemical. Andrew could have cared less about either.

Horrible. Appetizer came out with our meals, what’s the point in that??? Then Was served my wrap like this with the excuse of “the wrap didnt fold well but you have silverware so it’s fine right?”

A hidden gem in the sleepy hollow of Bedford PA. Great restaurant right off the turnpike for those passing through; with plenty of history and hospitality. The tavern includes an upstairs restaurant and downstairs bar including a pool table & a few old school games.
Menu consists mostly of seafood but also includes wings and appetizers including cheese balls (which I recommend). A must try in Bedford PA!
