Absolutely amazing. The food is 100% home cooking. The catfish was the best I’ve ever had. The hushpuppies are to die for. The chess pie was so good. You must stop here. You won’t be sorry.

We stopped by Becky’s Country Cafe for some good ol’ southern breakfast and boy was it scrumptious! We ordered a Spanish omelet with a side of some fluffy pancakes, as well as the chicken and biscuit with a side of scrambled eggs. Our lovely waitress suggested to add some cheese and hot sauce to the chicken and biscuit, and we recommend y’all do the same! It really elevated the sandwich. Tag us on your next order at Becky’s, and be sure to let them know LOCAL sent you.

I loved the bacon and cheese omelette and the pancake . When I arrived, there was only one customer, and it was almost 10:00 AM. Right next to me, two couples with four loud children sat down, and they kept bumping into my chair. The adults were talking extremely loudly, and I understand why the kids were too. PLEASE, PARENTS, TEACH YOUR CHILDREN TO BEHAVE IN PUBLIC SO THEY DON’T ACT WITHOUT MANNERS, disturbing others with so much noise. My head hurt so much that I decided to leave without finishing my meal, Voala my breakfast was ruined!

After much anticipation, my venture to the local breakfast place proved to be a delightful experience. The charming atmosphere, adorned with a collection of nostalgic antiques reminiscent of days spent at my grandmother’s house, set the stage for a promising breakfast feast.

My choice, the Big Man breakfast, offered an impressive array of delectable items for a great value. Two perfectly cooked sunny-side-up eggs started the meal off on a high note. The sausage links were an instant hit, disappearing quickly from the plate, while the bacon proved to be equally delicious with its enticing flavor.

However, the ham was a bit of a disappointment for my personal taste, as it leaned heavily on the salty side, even for someone who enjoys a bit of saltiness in their meals.

As a breakfast enthusiast, I judge any breakfast house by their biscuits and gravy—a true litmus test of their culinary prowess. Although the biscuit was satisfying, being slightly denser than what I typically encounter, the gravy, unfortunately, left much to be desired. It lacked the savory depth and was somewhat bland, requiring the addition of salt, pepper and Louisiana hot sauce to enhance its flavor–hint to adding some depth.

The hash browns, on the other hand, were a standout triumph, boasting a perfect crispiness that was complemented by a delightful buttery taste.

The prices at this breakfast place were remarkably economical, a pleasant surprise considering the overall quality of the meal. The staff, friendly, attentive, and helpful, demonstrated a high level of professionalism, ensuring a positive front-of-house experience.

A unique and special treat was encountering Becky herself in the kitchen during our visit. The presence of plenty of locals further emphasized the establishment’s popularity and reputation. The eclectic antique picture of the original Becky’s proudly displayed was a testament to the rich history and long-standing tradition of the place. With such a loyal following, it leaves me intrigued to explore the non-breakfast menu items and further assess the culinary prowess of Becky’s.

In conclusion, the breakfast place delivered a charming and satisfactory dining experience. While some aspects of the meal may have fallen short of perfection, the warm atmosphere, friendly staff, and standout hash browns make this place worth another visit. A future exploration of their non-breakfast offerings may reveal even more culinary delights awaiting eager diners.

Bring cash, it’s the only accepted payment method!

I love it here! I don’t usually carry cash, so I only eat here a couple of times per year. I almost feel like I’m time traveling eating here – in a good way! I’ll have to bring my wife someday and have her try it out

ADVANCED WARNING… they ONLY EXCEPT CASH, signs at the register- not on the door!

We’ve been on the hunt daily, for that perfect breakfast diner, with NO LUCK

Another one bites the dust!

A little dive diner, with beat up chairs with chunks of the seats missing.

Breakfast comes with the BARE minimal, everything else is extra!

Kitchen had a residential stove along with a flat top. The stove had pots and CROCKPOT’s on it with food in it.

The western omelette had good flavor, but the biscuits were gross, I also added bacon and gravy.

The gravy was the consistency of WALLPAPER PASTE, and was gross.

My husband had the eggs and pork tenderloin. The tenderloin came from a package and was cooked beyond DRY.

Two people $21.00 not including tip

So disappointing

Nice little cafe / dinner on the way to Dover from Clarksville. Very friendly staff. Menu did have some different items . Suggest picking off the daily special board. Some of the menu items such as the pulled pork where a bit dry but still a good dish

Becky constantly makes great hot meals at affordable prices. Breakfast always delicious and Friday night catfish is worth the trip. Definitely one of the better places for a home cooked meal in this town.

The food was great. The waitress was awesome. It had a “feel at home” atmosphere. The only problem I had was that I didn’t see their “No Debit or Credit Cards Accepted” sign when I went in. When I went to pay I pulled out my card, but was told it’s cash only and I barely had have enough cash! Other than that, I give them 5 stars.
