Beauty & Essex is a fun experience. The speakeasy-style entrance through the pawn shop is really cool, and once you’re inside, the restaurant is way bigger than you’d expect. It’s darkly lit, beautifully decorated, and very glam with drapes everywhere and pretty light fixtures. It’s a vibey spot.

The food was good overall. The grilled cheese and tomato soup dumplings were a unique and memorable appetizer. The chicken meatballs had great flavor, and the yellowtail crudo was light and fresh. The BBQ fries were solid too, with an actual BBQ chip–style seasoning that stood out. One downside was that the hot dishes didn’t come out very hot so it definitely feels like they’re just all premade and waiting to be sent out.

Drinks are pre-batched, which was a bit disappointing since there’s no room for modifications or custom cocktails. Service was decent, and a really nice touch was the complimentary flourless chocolate cake they brought out for our anniversary.

Overall, a great atmosphere and a fun place for a special occasion, especially if you’re going for the vibe as much as the food.

Had an incredible first experience at beauty and Essex. The service here along with the food quality was 10/10. Ended up getting a bunch of apps and cocktails and only a few small entrees and couldn’t have been any happier. The Mac & cheese, flatbread style pizza and beef Wellington were all amazing. Will be back to try more stuff

I loved this place, the decor, the vibes and THE FOOD!
Perfect spot to ha e shareable portions. We order several dishes and all of it was excellent. I will definitely come back on my next trip. Oh, and the music was the cherry on top. I love to hear good music while I eat.

The first thing I noticed is it’s darker than I expected. It’s got kind of a steakhouse vibe with the leather and the low light, but it’s made hip by the music and the creative lights. I meant to go for the social hour specials, but I accidentally made my reservation for a table, not the bar – my mistake. As a solo diner, I got seated at a 2 person table in The Vault (apparently all their rooms are named and themed, this one features an expensive looking piece of jewelery, but who cares). The next thing I noticed is that the staff is very nice and the appropriate level of attentive, not overbearing.

I ordered the Zinfandel, grilled cheese dumplings, and Brussels. I had ordered the focaccia bites too, but my waiter expressed caution of having too much food so I cut that one out. The wine was fine, but I loved the giant glass. I had heard about the dumplings for years, and they were still better than I expected. Smoky, rich, cozy, balanced. That’s a 10/10. I probably looked like a fool licking every last bit of tomato soup out of those awkwardly sized spoons. I know they’re meant to share, but I’d get one order per person. The Brussels were what I expect from a nice restaurant, maybe my one complaint is they were too large so they were hard to tackle in one mouthful. I thought the peppers they came with added little, but the sauce was good. I ate about half the Brussels because I wanted room for dessert – my waiter was right, that’s a lot of food.

For dessert, the donuts. They are messy and hard to eat but mmmmmmmmmm.

The bill was $81 before tip. For Vegas, I’m really happy with that. In an out just over an hour. As a solo traveler I’m happy with that too.

We had absolutely wonderful service! Our waitress was Irene and she was top notch. Then we had our 2 bus boys, Ali G and Moya (spelling??), they were wonderful! Our table was cleared continuously and they were also super friendly. But the food was amazing! From the apps to the dessert, everything was delicious! My favorite things were the app shrimp, the beef Wellington and the butterscotch dessert. I could marry the butterscotch dessert and live happily ever after! I would highly recommend!
We had a group of 11 with reservations. We walked up, stated our name and we were seated right away.

This place is amazing. The little store front leading into a speakeasy vibe is great. Be prepared for tapas rather than a normal played individual meal. The tomato soup and grilled cheese dumpling is to die for. The overall favorite of what my group ordered. Runner up in my opinion was the street corn ravioli. Besides tapas we did get a 10 oz filet to share and the meat sliced like butter. The only thing we didn’t like was the lobster roll. We probably had 7-8 different things but the lobster roll just wasn’t it. Besides that, a great experience. Would love to return. They did ask about dietary restrictions or allergies. Not an issue for us but definitely not heard often so kudos to them!

I finally got to try Beauty & Essex, and honestly, it lived up to all the hype. From the moment you walk in through the hidden entrance, the whole experience feels special—moody, stylish, and buzzing without being overwhelming. It’s the kind of place that instantly makes you feel like you’re in for a great night.

The food, though, is the real star. I ordered the beef Wellington, and wow—easily one of the best I’ve had, and probably the best in town. Perfectly cooked beef, buttery pastry, rich flavours, and beautifully balanced. You can tell real care and skill go into every dish that comes out of the kitchen.

Everything we tried was packed with flavour and beautifully presented. The menu is creative without being pretentious, and the portions are just right—you leave satisfied but not uncomfortable. Cocktails were on point too, both in taste and presentation.

Service was warm, attentive, and professional without feeling forced. The staff genuinely want you to have a great experience.

If you’re looking for amazing food, a fun atmosphere, and a memorable night out, Beauty & Essex absolutely delivers. I’ll definitely be back.

Everything was beautiful and amazing. The service from Jeffrey was like I’ve never seen before. This guy is a legend and truly made our night. We had a dinner later on and just wanted to have a few quick appies and a couple of drinks but nobody asked us if we wanted the happy hour or a table, and they sat us directly inside the restaurant. A bit disappointed but the decor, food, vibe and service was so on top that we completely felt in love with that place. Highly recommended for a fine dining experience. Be aware that the place is dark, no windows, no view on the outside (we’ve been told otherwise and also got disappointment on that). Great experience overall.

My wife and I had gone here for our anniversary. I called ahead and they were able to make our night a little special with a note and a desert (we still ordered the peanut butter cake). Service was detailed and the variety of fusion food was both fun and delicious. Highly recommend the bone marrow dish and peanut butter cake.

We had a fantastic time here- we were able to grab a seat at the bar and our bartender was quick to serve us. We came for their great happy hour deals. Their grilled cheese and mini tomato soup bites were out of this world. For only $10 this is such a great deal. I didn’t take a picture but the cauliflower tacos were also great. Drink pictured is the Hot Tropics- I think I ended up having 3 of these!
