Beauty & Essex has an innovative design that starts in The Pawn Shop complete with vintage treasures, curated contemporary pieces and an eclectic array of “one-off” pieces of jewelry. Continuing past The Pawn Shop, the host greets you in the Jewelry Box and takes you past upholstered walls into the Pearl Lounge and bar. You’ll then find the Peacock Dining Room and the Locket Private Dining Room separated by a screen wall of antique frames. Each of these rooms are inspired by the delicate, yet glamorous details of jewelry. The cuisine, much like the design, is intended to set a new course with unique shareable dishes and twists on classic cocktails. I read some reviews and figured would be good. We went for brunch to celebrate our anniversary. I wanted to order the shrimp and grits but decided not to. The food was amazing I will be ordering the shrimp and grits next time I go. Decor was beautiful, staff was amazing! Pictured-avocado toast, ricotta fritters, BEC sandwich, braised short rib, dirty tots.

We celebrated one of our girls’ birthdays at Beauty & Essex, and the experience was absolutely wonderful from start to finish.
From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and seated at the bar while waiting for the rest of our party. Our bartender was lovely—friendly, attentive, and made the wait enjoyable. Once all the ladies arrived, we were escorted to our table, which was beautifully set and made the celebration feel extra special.
Our server was amazing—attentive, kind, and genuinely accommodating. This meant a lot to us because part of our group arrived late to the reservation, and the staff handled everything with grace and patience. We enjoyed a variety of fixed plates from the brunch menu, and every single dish we tried was delicious—there truly wasn’t one item we didn’t love.
We were at the restaurant from about 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., and at no point did we feel rushed. The team even went above and beyond by taking photos and a video of our group, which made the birthday celebration even more memorable.
The décor is timeless and beautifully done—elegant, stylish, and thoughtfully designed. Even the bathrooms are gorgeous, which says a lot about the attention to detail throughout the space.
Overall, Beauty & Essex delivered an exceptional dining and celebratory experience. From service to food to ambiance, everything was on point. Highly recommend for brunch, special occasions, or a memorable girls’ day out.

We Celebrated my sisters 40th Birthday at Beauty & Essex this past Saturday. I will say I was highly disappointed for the price point and of myself with the recommendation for us to dine here. I reached out prior to her husband about accommodations, the response time and communication were excellent. We had a party of 22 in the Locker Room, which is their private dining room. There were two servers, one more attentive than the other, in addition to multiple rood runners. Management seemed to stand in the corner vs be more hands on during the evening. I was on an end seat and tried to get their attention multiple times but their focus was on the dining room, not necessarily how the private event was running. One manager did come in and offer to take a picture. For having an added drink package of 69/pp you had to wait for drinks, sadly that were awful in my opinion. It was beautiful at this establishment however, with a nice display of desserts with the added candles that we brought. I thought for sure the food and drinks would have heavily displayed the price point. It was sub par in my opinion. Thank you for great pictures of the establishment, sadly I do not recommend the food or drinks.

All the food was excellent!! We got the NY strip steak, red snapper fish tacos, lobster rolls and wonder wheel and everything was so good. The server was polite and attentive. The vibes were amazing to celebrate Valentine’s Day. Look forward to coming back and trying more of the menu! Highly recommend!

Wow 12 out of 10 experience! The atmosphere is crazy delicious and drenched in opulence. The service was impeccable from Luis our star waiter and the fabulous manager Julia who immediately served up a champagne toast upon entrance, we even had a hand delivered martini right from the bartender herself. The food was exquisite in presentation and taste and they really delivered on the extras making the birthday celebration top notch. Do yourself a favor and try everything on the apps menu! Loved the light up sign and all the sparklers for the dessert finale with the Ferris wheels of goodies, macaroons and cakes! My entire group was well fed, buzzing on life and steeping in decadence. Thank you Beauty and Essex for a very memorable night. Luis and Julia….. you guys are truly amazing and deserve the recognition ✨

I came here with my brother and mother before a concert and they were able to accommodate us without a reservation! The atmosphere is a very cool theme and it is larger inside than you might expect. The only downside is that it is so loud it is hard to hear what the person across from you is saying. With that said, service was pretty good and the food was solid. I had the Gochujang Salmon and it was a blend of unique and familiar flavors!

First let me say I was super excited to go to this restaurant. I was extremely disappointed. We ordered snapper tacos for appetizer and the cheese tomato soup dumplings. The tacos tasted OK, except they were the size of a large silver dollar folded in half. That’s how small they were. The cheese tomato soup dumplings were no dumplings at all. It tasted like a stuffed puffed pastry with cheese in a cold tomato sauce and it’s the size of a nickel. Now to the drinks, I ordered the woodsman. It taste exactly like saw dust. Plus it had the texture of watered down applesauce, very grainy. The main courses were rib eye steak, which was $78 with no sides. It was OK. Then the other meat we ordered was lambchop well done. They don’t mention that the lambchop was cut in 2 big chunks and not sliced up. I ordered well done and they burnt the bone and the outside and the inside was completely raw and gushing with blood. I couldn’t eat it. I told the waiter it was bloody and he said, I’m sorry about that do you want boxes? I guess because the kitchen closes at 9 and we had 8:15 reservations, which we were seated at the bar because the table wasnt ready. The food is well overpriced and very underwhelming. Actually disgusting. What a disappointment. I will never eat there again. It’s very sad that they rip people off with the prices and the food is so awful. Please save your money and go somewhere else. We spent upwards of $300 for 2 people. If the food was good we wouldn’t care about the price but that so called cheese tomato dumpling tasted like something from the freezer isle at BJ’s warmed up and put in cold tomato sauce.

Made 5pm reservations and was sat upon arrival. Loved the cozy, intimate vibe. For how many people were there, it was surprisingly quiet during to the fabric on walls and fabric booths. Great for conversation. The service was top notch! I wish I remembered our servers name…she was friendly, attentive, knowledgeable and down to earth. My cocktail was amazing…love a black salt rim! My favorite dish was the chicken meatballs! Also had the tomato soup and grilled cheese dumplings, red snapper tacos, kale salad and beets and goat cheese toast. All were good but gave off the vibe that they were trying too hard. The cherry dessert was amazing and unique. Apple dessert was delicious as well.

Speak easy vibes with art deco decor makes this place stand out. Add in the warm lighting and smaller multiple room seating really makes for a comfortable atmosphere. Ordered off the brunch menu for the first time – great food! Starting with the best avocado toast I have ever had. The main course was excellent! Definitely will be back.

What a cool spot! You enter in through a pawn shop, where you can buy anything on display, and whisked away to the dining rooms. The lounge is beautiful and has great mood lighting. The main dining room has a great atmosphere, complete with fantastic music. Our server was just okay, nothing that matched the price point which was slightly disappointing. We had a couple drinks and loved everything. Our favorites included the miso eggplant and tomato soup dumplings. And the apple pie is not to be missed either! The whiskey pear cocktail was amazing and it was just an overall great experience!
