Nice place for locals or visitors driving down Rte 44 to pull over for some feel good food. Outdoor seasonal seating. Customers order at the counter and are called when their order is done or wait staff brings the food to your table. We sat outside and asked the waitress if we needed to come back in to pick up our food and she said, no, she would bring it to us. After a half an hour, I was about to get up and inquire how long it took for two burgers to be made with light traffic, when the cook himself came out with our food and nicely said he thought we left him hanging. ? Anyway, both burgers were very good and cooked to temperature. The Beau’s Burger Bleu, with blue cheese and bacon was very tasty and the Mushroom & Swiss was equally so. Fries with my meal were the right combination of crispy and soft. My companion did not get fries with his order because he wanted onion rings, so this was added on to the bill as a side. I’ve eaten here before doing reviews and always liked their chili dog. They do have salads, soup and chili for those who do not want a burger, and chicken tenders for kids. On the high end, they have lobster rolls – I was tempted to try one as I love to compare these, and the Shrimp Po’ Boy, whole belly clam and and clam strip platter also sound delicious. There is much to try here with an easy stop off the road.

Overall Beau’s was a very cute local burger joint, atmosphere felt old school…which was nice. Chain restaurants are good for what they are, but it’s very nice to pull up to a local spot that’s family owned and feels much more personal….. that is what Beau’s feels like.

The food was ok had fish and chips . Fish was a little under cooked but nothing terrible. We sat outside at the umbrella tables but the area was not very clean. Paper and bottles on ground that were clearly there for a while. Over all experience was just ok.

So bit of an embarrassing review here. When this place first opened I didn’t go because initially the Google reviews weren’t that good. I had forsaken the ancient philosophy of Green Eggs and Ham that the high intellect of Dr Suess had taught to millions of young Americans. If I don’t try Beau’s how will I know if this place is good or not? Maybe those bad reviews were written by lame-wad posers without taste buds.

We’ve been here twice now and the lovely people working here surprised my daughter with a little cup of ice cream. The burgers are tasty, classic, and fresh. The sweet potato fries are crispy and delicious. We will absolutely be coming back!

I usually don’t give reviews however the food was so bad I had to say something. This was my 1st time ordering from here since they changed the owners and name from Reno’s to Beau’s Burger Shack. I decided to give it a try because the food from Reno’s was exceptional, always fresh and delicious. So I figured the new owners would keep up with Reno’s reputation. I was absolutely wrong about this one. Everything we order was absolutely horrible! The onions rings and fries tasted stale/days old that were refried and served. We had more bread than fish for our fish sandwich and the fish was soggy. For the amount of money we paid I’m very disappointed in the food. The person who took the order was nice but that’s it. Everything else thumbs down across the board. I will never order from here again! Save your money or go elsewhere!

The food was so awful I can’t even describe. Even the ketchup tasted spoiled. How does that happen? What kind of “poutine” is this? Your gravy just tasted like brown water. Gross

The quality of the food is above average; however, the portions were quite stingy. Their fried shrimp platter tasted great (with the exception of the coleslaw which seemed slimy and definitely past its best by date); however they only provided 5 pieces of shrimp for something they charged $16.75 for. I also got the cajun fish sandwich, which tasted great and had some kick to it, but it was a whole $10.75 just for a single fish filet sandwich with lettuce and tomato. While most of their food tastes well-seasoned and fresh, I think they take the saying “quality over quantity” quite literally.
