First time trying this place with my boyfriend and wow it was amazing! Got the weekend special which was a pulled pork sandwich with 2 sides for $10, great deal! The pulled pork was very flavorful and not fatty which is a plus for me. The smoked Mac and cheese and corn bread was so delicious too! The self pour tap on the wall was very cool, never seen anything like that before. The waitress we had was very friendly and attentive. Met the owner outside too smoking meats, he was very friendly as well. We will definitely be back!

This was seriously the best BBQ place we have ever found! Great food, great service and great atmosphere! The meats were perfectly smoked and the side dishes were amazing! Great prices too! The sauces were some of the best we’ve ever tasted! We will be back!

It was amazing! I got the 2×2 combo and asked the waiter what he suggested.

He said Tri tip and brisket and he was not wrong!!

It was the first time trying Beast and Bird as I was out that way for business. It was absolutely delicious and everything was loaded with flavor and large portions. Our server was excellent.

Tried it for the first time – the food was great and our waitress was so personable and kind. They were out of their special (burnt ends), but the pulled pork & brisket that we got was so good I wasn’t left feeling like I missed out.

The sauces they have are very unique and not like those I’ve tried elsewhere- one is mustard based and tastes like a Dijon mustard with a kick (my favorite one), other is vinegar & very watery but paired perfectly with the brisket (husband’s fav), & the last is more of your typical BBQ with a sweet hint to it (our daughter’s favorite).

We got the Trifecta for 2 with corn bread, Mac and Cheese, & cheesy potatoes. That alone feed us + our 4 year old. The Mac and Cheese was great and you could taste the smokiness but it wasn’t overly smokey. That was our daughter’s “meal” but once she had a taste of the brisket it was game over and she devoured it! Cheesy potatoes were good too, another review said they were very salty but I didn’t think so at all. The cornbread was great, another review said they needed butter with it but I disagree – this reminds me of corn casserole you get around Thanksgiving and not the typical dry cornbread. Different but very good

Our waitress was so kind and patient and gave us great explanations and suggestions. There was a big party going on (graduation I think) but that didn’t affect our service, the cleanliness of the restaraunt, or the pace in which we received our food.

We can’t wait to come back and will definitely make the drive if we see they are having the loaded baked potatoes on special!

Wow!! I mean… Wow!!
This is how you smoke BEEF “DINO” RIBS!!
Where did you guys come from?
Beast & Bird, you got a friend in me. The service, the food, and the atmosphere were very welcoming. My first time here, as well as a lot of others, was a good experience. I was introduced to the staff and was guided to the rear of the establishment to an open scenery where there was a stage for a band and a craft beer and wine stand. I was very impressed with the setup. The timing for me to get my food was also impressive, considering that a lot of people came out for the Dino ribs, including myself. You can sit at tables that are already set up and have yourself a quenching libation as you wait for your food to go or to eat right there. Logan, Troy, Trent, Justin, Chelsea, and Taylor, you guys were great! Thank you for your hospitality and those delicious smoked BEEF RIBS!!
I’ll be back for more!!

First time in their restaurant. My husband and I did the Trifercta Platter, and it was so yummy. The pulled pork, pulled chicken and brisket were all so tender and juicy. The sides, smoked mac/cheese, cheesy potatoes, and the corn bread were top notch. We will be coming back.

I met up with friends for dinner tonight at the Beast & Bird. It was my first time having their food.. I had the truck load potato topped with brisket, cornbread, Coleslaw, and the shredded chicken sandwich (not pictured). Everything was soo delicious, fresh, not dry, super moist and delicious! I also loved the big Grove summer sour jam on tap. It was light, refreshing, and not sour, not sweet, it was the perfect light tart raspberry flavor. I absolutely loved it. It was the most Beautiful evening for dinner outside too. No bugs, no sweltering humidity. It was the perfect dry, cool summer evening.

This is a nice restaurant with good meats. The vinegar based coleslaw is not my favorite but for some people they probably would like it. No bbq beans in the menu. No butter for the corn bread. The corn bread is very good. Cheesy potato’s was very salty.

We really, really wanted to love this place. We’d been wanting to get down to Vinton to try their Sunday brunch buffet since they started it. Three adults and one kid, one kids soda and an $8 tip was $85 which isn’t great but not horrible. We walked in at 11am and only two other tables on a Sunday morning seemed a bit sad. Food was good, our issue was they had small plates and while they served the food to you at the buffet, they didn’t give you much. A guy came around with a large pan of bacon and gave each person one piece. We assumed the bacon would end up on the buffet line, we even waited a bit, but no where to be found. They had sausage link, ham, pulled chicken, chicken and noodles, eggs, garlic mashed potatoes, cheesy potatoes, sheet pan pancakes and some fruit and dessert. We all left being a bit underwhelmed considering the $20 buffet price. Maybe we’ll try them for dinner some night, or a morning that they have more offerings. We were hoping to find a new favorite to add to our rotation, sadly we didn’t find it.
