Went back after 15 years. Food is still awesome, better than I remember but Bea, says it’s always been the same. She remembered my order and I’m taking my kids next week. Worth the 45 minute drive. If you haven’t been you don’t know what you’re missing everything is made in house from the crab Rangoon to the chili oil.

This place is hands down the best food in town! I come every Thursday for the pho and the crab rangoons, and they never disappoint. The broth is always rich and flavorful, and the crab rangoons are perfectly crispy every time.

The service is easily the best in town — everyone is so welcoming and attentive. The food honestly feels like I’m at home eating something my mom made. You can taste the care in every dish.

Highly recommend if you want amazing food and a great atmosphere!

Absolutely delicious. For apps, we got their special which was shrimp potstickers in a spicy soy sauce (comes with 5) and then we also got Bea’s egg roll (comes with 2). While both were amazing, the egg roll was by far the best. We took the waiters suggestion and ate the egg roll wrapped in the lettuce with pickled veggies. For the main, we got spicy chicken curry. It was great. It didnt have as much sauce as I expected but I was fine with that. I will state it was just a tad salty but that was fine with me. Now for the dining room, fair warning, it is small. I dont know if there are ten tables and the menu is pretty small as well. But to me, a small menu means they have more or less perfected a few dishes and serve them well.

Bea is so cute! It felt like eating at my aunties house. It felt nostalgic. I got the spicy curry tofu and I never thought I’d be able to find the flavor again. Don’t grow old I need you for the rest of my life

I’ve started at Bee’s Wok nRoll when she ran her road side dinner in a Car sales Parking lot. Me (Bob) and my friend Scott, stopped in one day and was surprised at how good ger food was. We went to Bee’s every chance we had and she always had something new that you could put your finger on with how she came up with the ideas. She explained erly on that she was Vietnamese. I asked her one time if she ever cooked steak and that I would pay whatever if she could cook a steak. She said her husband love when she made it for him. We madeplans to have her steak, I must tell you, it was my favorite steak of all times and I had been to some great steak houses in my days. Bee is an amazing cook and teaches her other cooks just how it must be made. I live in upstate NY now. Bee I love your food to this day and wished I could have it again. One thing about Bee was that if you visited her newer restaurant she will remember you and know your name. Long after my friend Scott moved away, she always asked how he was doing. Scott loved her GIANT bowls of soup which were a meal onto them self. Bee’s Great lady and an excellant chief.
Miss yoi Bee!

I brought a friend for lunch, her first time. Bea can be sweet but today was not one of her sweet days. She started out telling us that there were “only the two of us” working today when we asked about a table. We waited for a table to be cleaned before we could sit. A 10 minute wait to get a menu. Another 15 minutes before Bea stopped to take our order. She seemed to be irritated and short tempered while taking our order. Definitely did not want to explain dishes. (menu does not give description of any dish. The topical listing consist things like vegetables with chicken). Food was good. I ordered vegetables with tofu and an order of spring rolls to share. My main dish was $18 and the egg rolls $8=$26. I was paying for the spring rolls and my friend was taking care of the tip. Tax is included in the price of each dish, according to the menu (a fact that I didn’t notice until after paying and re-reviewing the menu on line). We had time plans and needed to get going. No one had checked on our table nor brought our bill. I had to collect doggie containers. Bea intercepted and would not allow us to get the larger size doggie containers saying something about flipping the smaller containers over as if that would somehow replace the roomer containers we requested. My friend had to go back to the “other” employee to get an additional container. He seemed embarrassed by Bea’s behavior apologized for her.
We waited at the table a bit longer for the bill but it never came. At the register Bea verbally gave us our separate totals. We heard her other customers getting their bill totals verbally at the register too so didn’t think much about getting our bill verbally either. She stated my bill was $30 and because I didn’t have cash I owed another $2 for the debit card transaction. (There were no postings anywhere about the charges for using a card.) Besides the card charge she still over charged for the food by $4. $4 doesn’t seem like a large sum but overcharging several/many customers adds up.
Our visit was on Saturday. She is closed on both Sunday and Monday. I have not yet decided whether or not I will be contacting Bea about the over charge. I’m sort of thinking my call would not be welcome. I live in Batavia so Dekalb is not a place I visit often. Perhaps this overcharge is a lesson learned…. Don’t eat a Bea’s again and ALWAYS getting a written bill before paying… especially at Bea’s.
My friend enjoyed the food but she doesn’t want return. I’m embarrassed that I took her to Bea’s Wok And Roll.

The waiter was hilarious. Made us feel like we were talking to a friend immediately. Bea checked on us a few times and she was lovely. The food was savory. The portions were very good. Totally recommended

Food was tasty and good spice, had beef fried rice, the nice lady made my egg roll when I ordered it. The meat was a little tough and dry but all in all was pretty good.

It’s a hole in the wall that you might just drive past. Over the years, I’ve found the best Asian food restaurants often not the most interesting looking on the outside. There’s nothing fancy about it, but man is the food AMAZING! It is a small place, but well worth the wait if it’s busy.

Update 4/5/22. Still awesome. Still delicious and the food is better than a lot of fancy Chicago restaurants. The curry tofu is just, well, it’s spicy af, and so flavourful. If it says it’s spicy, it is, so be forewarned. She takes pride in making sure everything is fresh and that everyone loves their meal.

Go soon. Go now. Go often.

Just GO!

I had a beef fried rice, and it was terrible for the price of $18. The potstickers were okay, not what I had expected. I won’t be back.
