Went in for lunch, and I was surprised we were the only ones there. I had the loaded nachos, and they were out of this world. I chose to go with the brisket. The meat was so flavorful. Honestly, I’ve never even liked brisket till yesterday. We also ordered a BBQ sandwich along with a hot dog kids meal and a grilled cheese kids meal. Everyone was very satisfied with their food. I can’t wait to go back and try the quesadilla. The staff were also very friendly and welcoming. We had 2 kids with us, and they took them upstairs and showed them around. Our server, Glenda, I think, was extremely helpful and courteous. This place is unlike anything else Kinston has to offer. I highly recommend Beary Smokey Smokehouse.

Very clean, food was excellent & fresh.
Staff was friendly & it was nice to see the man Fernando otw out. Collar balls & mash were amazing, brisket was flaking apart & so tender.
Can’t wait to go back & try the rest of the menu.

We picked up some meals tonight, and everything we ordered was delicious. The brisket was nice and smokey and my husband loved the ribs. The staff was extremely friendly, and although we didn’t eat inside the restaurant, the interior was cozy and welcoming. We’ll definitely try this place again! Very tasty food!

Good people, food is good, but everything was slathered in the same sweet bbq sauce, shame, because it overwhelmed the smoke flavor and was far too sweet for my liking. Should be on the side and not poured over everything.

Delicious! We sampled everything! The ribs brisket and chicken were falling off the bone tender and scrumptious. As sides go get the Mac and cheese and cowboy beans! Amazing! Owner is there and makes sure you are taken care of. We really enjoyed the dining experience.

Prices are a bit high for soups IMOP, food would be a lot better if it didn’t taste like it was reheated a lot. Nachos were great, but out of the two hamburger steaks on the plate, one was dry and tasted as if reheated a couple of times, the other one was great. so it’s hit or miss most of the time there. Not bad if they were a bit cheaper.

It was COLD in the building and the food was lukewarm at best. There was nothing smoked about the sausage I got. The sausage was cooked black and had little flavor. The cabbage was listed as cabbage with bacon, but no bacon was found. The menu said sweet potatoes. I thought baked sweet potato and got candied yams. They were out of cornbread at 1:00 PM. As my partner summed it up “famous on Facebook, but lacking good food”. One trip was more than enough.

Delicious food! We ordered the sampler, which was 3 meats with 2 sides and then we ordered 2 more sides so my fiancé and I could share the sampler. There was so much food… we chose brisket, chicken, and ribs. And we had the collard balls appetizer…. you have to try them! Along with the deliciousness was a friendly atmosphere and Fernando is just the best! We will definitely be back!

My husband and I had Sunday dinner at Beary Smokey today. This was our first time dining here. I must say that it was a very pleasant experience. The food was delicious and the service was great. I had some of the best brisket I have eaten in a restaurant. My husband thoroughly enjoyed the chopped BBQ. We will return.

I went for the first time today. The collards were very tangy. The staff wasn’t too personable and it was very hot inside. On the plus side, the bbq chicken was pretty good although small in portion size and the Mac and cheese was very tasty.
