First and foremost, any place that doesn’t serve cornbread is probably not going to have great barbecue. I have yet to be proven wrong and this assumption, so when I saw there wasn’t on the menu, I immediately lowered my expectations for the meal. I paid $17 for a dry and blank pork sandwich. They sauce was on the side and it was good, but the pork felt just a bit too reminiscent of sawdust for my taste. Average meal, but it was fast and the service was very nice.

First time visitor of West Yellowstone, we came across Beartooth Barbecue. Family friendly restaurant with great adult beverage options. The food is superb, the brisket was “soft butter” tender and the ribs slipped right off the bone. We had the cheese grits and elote corn as our sides. Highly recommend. Was a bit pricey but expected in a tourist town.

So this is very expensive for the little bit of food you get. We asked the waiter if it would be enough to share the meat combo and was told it would be and only got 2 pieces of brisket. And we’re a family of 4, do not believe when it says it’s a hefty portion!! We came from TX are used to paying that much for bbq but for way more food!! Would not return for the prices!! And side options were not what we’re used to. Cheese with grits, not something I would eat again.

The waiter was incredibly attentive, the food came out quickly, and I loved my Mad Dog (with the chopped brisket on the side). It was bigger than expected, my nephew ended up removing the bread as he couldn’t get the whole thing into his mouth. We’re leaving this area today, but otherwise we’d eat here again.

My husband and I shared an enormous plate of ribs and brisket, with beans and cole slaw. Everything is made in house and everything was absolutely delicious. The brisket melts in your mouth. The prices are on the high end ($45 for what we had), but the portions are very generous; and because we shared, it all evened out to about what you’d spend per person anywhere else in the nicer restaurants in West Yellowstone. Friendly staff and fast service…We’d definitely go back!

The meat was excellent. Smoked perfectly, ample quantity on the sandwich, the bun was firm enough to hold together and the bbq sauce on the side was tasty. A great lunch overall. My side dish was the baked beans. They were really good and just the right spicy/sweet combo, but, be warned… the beans cause gas. I don’t think I have ever been so gassy in my life. If you have a long road trip in a small car, on your agenda, don’t order the beans!!

Thank you to our very friendly server who let us eat a half hour before closing time. The brisket was tender and lean. The cheese grits were delicious and the slaw was good too. This place was quick and easy and satisfying.

Saw a 4.3 rating for this place and decided to try it out. All was fine until the food came out. Three of us ordered the sliced briskets. The other two briskets came out juicy and flavorful, mine was burned and dry. I let the waitress know and she said it because mine came from another part. So I decided to give them another chance by ordered another portion and made sure to let the waitress know to charge is for it, hoping she would make it right. Nope, she brought out another dry order. I just ate 3 of the total 8 because i was hungry and left the rest. This is just my experience.

DELICIOUS!! Our party of 8 adults and kids all were thrilled with the food and experience (particularly after eating at a lot of “good enough” or lesser places while on a long road trip). We loved the ribs, the brisket, and the smoked sausage. We can’t skip mention of the sides… baked beans, cheese baked grits, creamed corn, cowboy caviar…. We devoured them all. Our favorite dining experience in West Yellowstone

The atmosphere here was pretty decent. However, the food wasn’t that good and they charge $$ for extra plate by itself on top of a 3% credit card charge pressuring you into paying cash…. The servers here also needs to keep better track of refills especially when its not busy and there is only 3 tables occupied in the entire restaurant…
