We weren’t told there would be a long wait for food but ended up waiting 1.5 hours for our 2 cheeseburgers, cheese curd and corn dog. So if you come for the pig races I suggest packing a dinner for the family. Also, the bathrooms are out of order which isn’t cool.

PIGS RACES ONLY SATURDAYS! Poor waitress had to break the news. Ate dinner since we drove so far. When they race it is pretty cool. Just be warned they do not race on Fridays anymore.

Home of the pig races. Our first time here as well. On our way home from a funeral we decided to stop in the town of Leader Minnesota to the infamous Bears Den.
It did not disappoint. From the minute we walked in we were met with friendly smiles, friendly locals, lots of cowboy hats, retro decorations, a game of operation, and a hilarious feisty bartender.
When our friend that knows her asked for water, well let’s just say you don’t get water in this bar. It’s possible she’ll throw it in your face.
And the best french fries. Burger, not so much. We will be back for the pig races this summer.
