Bear’s Restaurant – Review

Food Quality
– Comfort Food Focus: Bear’s is known for hearty American comfort food—think burgers, fried chicken, sandwiches, and big breakfast plates.
– Popular Items: Signature burgers, loaded fries, and their house-made sauces are often praised. Portions are generous.
– Breakfast All Day: Many enjoy their classic eggs, pancakes, and biscuits served all day.

Service & Atmosphere
– Friendly Staff: Service is usually warm and attentive; a small-town, welcoming vibe.
– Casual Setting: Laid-back, diner-style atmosphere—great for families and casual diners.
– Cleanliness: Generally clean and well-kept with a cozy interior.

⚠ Considerations
– Busy at Peak Hours: Expect a short wait during breakfast or lunch rush.
– Basic Presentation: The focus is more on flavor than fine plating or gourmet presentation.
– Limited Healthy Options: Menu leans heavily toward indulgent meals.

⭐ Verdict
Perfect for a relaxed, satisfying meal with classic American comfort food. Friendly service and big portions make it a local favorite.

Amazing atmosphere. I was unsure at first as I’m new to the bar scene. I didn’t expect the tab to be $100 for six drinks, so that’s a bit excessive. The food was so good I regret not finishing my burger. My boyfriend was named after a drink, ask for “The Saint” or “Gabriel” if you like the taste of absinthe and black licorice.
The art in the bathroom is beautiful.
Word of advice to the owners, if you don’t want people drawing on your walls, paint over all the interesting art and messages that adds to the atmosphere and make a big sign about it. 🙂

Searching for a dog friendly restaurant near me produced Bears. This is a sweet spot in Highland.

Ironically our dog’s name are Bear & Miss Penny and they loved it too.

Hailey & Lisa made our visit memorable and everyone that walked by stopped to pet the pups.

The pulled pork and onion rings were over the top. Hailey’s KeyLime pie was divine. Will definitely be back

I went in late on a sunday (after 10p)
The place wasn’t packed but had a decent amount of people. The bartender was friendly and quick with service. The brisket mac and cheese was pretty delicious.

Words cannot describe how much I love this place. Bartenders are amazing, the burger specials are amazing, door guys amazing, and even the cooks. Perfection. Great shows. Even when it’s slow (when I prefer to go) it’s great. For someone who likes to party though, go on a night when they have a show. Look it up on Instagram to see when they happen. Trivia with Lilian and music bingo each week (I don’t know her name) it’s so much fun. Also, if you’re a pickle person get the fried pickles

My absolutely favorite bar in the shreveport-bossier area. The only bar i feel comfortable going alone, such a comforting energy this place holds. Best bartenders in town, always wiling to make accommodations and suggesting wonderful beverages. Great food, shows, local art, and community

I absolutely love this place. The food is phenomenal (Brisket Mac is my suggestion) and the Key lime pie is to die for. the staff are great, and as a single woman, I have always felt safe. What do for the community and local bands is amazing as well as bringing other entertainment from out of state is top notch. To show of how much I love this place, every year they have Bears Fest and I travel across the country just for this event.

just a nomad biker passing through. Not my vibe, but a lively place and I was well received. I don’t know my young little bartenders name, but she was special, dialed in, highly intelligent.

This bar is not simply just a bar. The service? Friendly. The drinks? Never miss. The food? Immaculate. The only thing that surpasses the quality of these is that the bar transforms into a portal to the feywilds on the full moon.
