Fried mushrooms are in the best top 3 I’ve ever had – the breading is crisp and tender, served at the perfect temperature – delicious! Monkey tails are a fun and tasty bacon-wrapped jalapeno-cheese appetizer. Shoestring fries are coated-style so they remain crispy instead of becoming soggy like typical shoestring fries. Onion rings also great – they are simply masters of deep fried cuisine. The cheesesteak is absolutely loaded as you can see in the pic and tasty, but not a traditional philly cheesesteak. Pic is Boss burger with extra patty and cheese. Beef a bit dry but you get a lot of it. Toppings are fresh.
There was only one waitress, but there’s literally 360 degrees of TV to keep you distracted while you wait. Service was courteous and accurate.

Update June 16: The Long Dog got upgraded. The girth on that dog is no joke! It’s awesome, delicious. Best long dog I’ve ever eaten, puts Sonic nearby to shame. The chicken nachos were a lot. Needs like two or three people to finish. Overall a great Monday night.

Philly cheesesteak sucked tonight. Bread barely buttered and grilled. Three tiny pieces of bell peppers. Meat that doesn’t cover a third of the buns. The meat tasted lower quality than before. Fries were great though! Pictures were from previous visits.

Service was fast. Philly cheesesteak is the best here.

Sat myself down for lunch at 12:35. No service. No wait staff. Maybe they called in sick. Walked myself out after a few minutes.

It’s my first visit here. Went with bro. Lunch time, but not that packed. First impression is it’s clean, no odd smells or uncomfortable humidity.
Brother and I got the Philly cheesesteak. Onion rings and tater tots. Range rattlers.
Taters were perfect, same with the onion rings.
Philly cheesesteaks were great. Good amount of bell peppers and onions, that’s where half the places I get phillys go wrong, they don’t put enough peppers and onions. Not here, it’s perfect. It’s also not super salty, so the cheese they’re using probably isn’t junk quality. I won’t have to go into Wylie to get that Philly craving fulfilled.
Range rattlers, good portion. Tastes good. Not as oily as I expected, always a plus. Ordering that for lunch was a mistake. Barely finished the Philly and onion rings.
Service was courteous and attentive. Checked if we liked our food. Checked on drink refills. Offered to bring check earlier since we let her know she knew we were on our work lunch break.
Price wasn’t outrageous. We didn’t get charged for ranch or condiments, some other reviews on Facebook made me I initially think they were stingy.
Will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu.

Reading some of the previous reviews I’m impressed with the turn around. I go to a lot of bars from coast to coast and I had a great experience. The food hit great target time, the quality was amazing, probably some of the best bar food in a really long time. The lemon pepper wings and hangover burger were ridiculous good. Our bartenders were fantastic friendly people, and s for the manager she was cordial professional and informative. I get opening a new bar is stressful and that might have been months ago but seems to me like this place is a well oiled machine. Recommend 10 /10

My first time to visit and pleasantly surprised how great the food was. Once I tasted the fried mushrooms, I knew I was in for a nice dinner. The burger was well-seasoned, perfect size and had a fresh bun w/plenty of tater tots. The pizza had a nice crust and high-quality mozzarella. The queso and chips were fresh and tasty. I also appreciated the wide variety of beers.
Our waitress was knowledgeable and very friendly. Her service was outstanding.
After leaving, my wife and I discussed what we are going to order the next time we go. We’re excited to try the bacon-wrapped, stuffed jalapenos, the onion rings, and definitely will reorder the stuffed mushrooms.

BEWARE if you order funnel cake fries, a side dip is not included. Chocolate or strawberry, $1.50 each. We were unaware of the cost and we didn’t have a menu in font of us when we ordered. We asked the server if they had funnel cake fries and she said yes. Look at our tab. I did not dispute anything else only the $6.00 for the dips and the managers response was “The cost is listed on the menu and its an expensive chocolate”.
Very, very dissapointed. Moving forward, Bearded Monkey will be my absolute last choice.

Good, consistent food and service at a reasonable price. Lots of TVs covering all sports. Family friendly but age restricted after 9pm. Best onion rings. Their Monkey Balls appetizer is really good as well.

First time here as an out of town traveler. Food was FANTASTIC! I got the club sandwich with fries, and the hubs got the Philly cheesesteak sandwich with tots. It was the best club sandwich I’ve ever eaten and the fries were crispy and very flavorful! My husband enjoyed his meal, as well. The tots were okay, nothing to write home about. We weren’t there to drink, although we did order a margarita. It was a bit watered down in my opinion, so not a great margarita, but again..we weren’t there for the alcohol. The service was fantastic! Our server’s name was Grace and she was very friendly and took good care of us. The atmosphere was so fun! TVs capturing everything from wrestling to rodeo! Pool tables, good music, and video games too! Soooo wish they had one of these where we live. It would be such a hit! As far as sports bars go, it’s my favorite!

Had a great time at The Bearded Monkey. The food was great —the fries were amazing, thin-cut and super crisp. Service was great too—friendly and fast without feeling rushed. Loved all the TVs with sports on everywhere, and the music was a fun mix, especially if you’re into Gen X tunes. Just an easy, laid-back spot. We’ll definitely be back.

Good variety of appetizers. The Monkey Tails don’t live up to the hype. The Potato Skins are done well, with a generous amount of toppings. Philly Cheese Steak could use a bit more meat, (double). It didn’t impress me enough to want to go back. But I wouldn’t argue if somebody wanted to buy me a beer and appetizers!
