We have been enjoying everything Bearded Baby Que since first trying it at Alias. We recently visited the store in Sussex and were delighted by everything–as usual! The hostesses and service were friendly and helpful, the food was delectable as always and love the atmosphere with the “quiet room” up front, the room with the TVs and the little space in between where the kitchen staff greeted us with smiles! We have enjoyed everything we’ve eaten there but our favorites are the burnt ends, the brisket platter and sandwich, the pork sandwich and the onion petals. The beans are tasty but beware the description is apt; definitely ! Owner operator Brian is always a pleasure and we couldn’t be happier for him and his family as this restaurant is definitely a winner! Note he also does catering!

We tried Bearded Baby BBQ in Sussex yesterday and boy, was it good! We got a little bit of everything…smoked wings, onion petals, pulled pork, smash burger, burnt ends, brisket, Mac and cheese and smoked mushrooms. The brisket was the best I’ve had!! Our server was so friendly and attentive. The owner Brian came out to speak with us and he was such a nice guy. There is no doubt that this place will become successful. Give it a try, you will not be sorry!!!

I have been a patron of Bearded baby Que for longer than they have had the storefront. We used to visit them regularly at Elias brewing in Vernon when they had a set up there to have dinner. Everyone I’ve interacted with representing them has been nothing less than kind and professional.
The food was delicious as well. The last time I was at the location I got the smoked chicken with macaroni and cheese, and my wife got macaroni and cheese as well, which is her favorite. They were both great. I’ve also had their brisket in the past and it’s hard to find brisket that’s good in New Jersey. He has great brisket.

The food is unreal! The best bbq in NJ! Drove 2.5 hours and it was absolutely worth it. Everything is super flavorful. Ample street parking. Very reasonably priced.

In a word….phenomenal!! Absolute perfection!! I had the brisket platter w/ Mac & cheese & French fries…hubby had brisket sandwich w/ French fries & we shared onion petals. Each bite was better than the last. (I’m a Mac n cheese snob….no one measures up to MY homemade Mac & cheese….but they even got me there as well!!). Everything was masterfully prepared, made with love & served up in very generous portions. Bearded Baby Que is an absolute GEM & we are SO very lucky to have them right here in Sussex! I enjoyed every second of my dinner tonight….& looking forward to leftovers for lunch tomorrow! Can’t wait to try everything else on the menu.

Order two smash burgers and the half fried chicken with fries and mac & cheese. It was amazing. The burgers were the best burgers I’ve had in a very long time. Visited this new BBQ spot in the center of Sussex last week and was very impressed. The restaurant has a great vibe and the waitress was friendly and attentive. Had the smoked chicken with spicy pinto beans and coleslaw. The beans and coleslaw were both super flavorful, though the beans a bit too spicy for my liking. The chicken was cooked perfectly and came with a side of dipping sauce. I will definitely be back in the future to try the pulled pork and brisket. So great to see a casual BBQ place in the area. Prices are very reasonable as well.

The owner Brian was so friendly and helpful greated my dad and I for lunch. Our server she was amazing as well. Sorry I didn’t get her name. We ordered the Brisket, Mac& Cheese and smoked wings which were freshly prepared and delicious. We also took home an order of the chili. The prices were very reasonable with generous portions. I would order again. Thank you again Brian for your hospitality and great lunch! We can’t wait to try the ribs!

We went to Bearded Baby Que the other night, and seriously, WOW! We totally lucked out and stopped by on rib night, which was the best accident ever. Everything was so flavorful, but honestly, it’s my new favorite spot for wings, hands down. They were amazing, and the sauce was delicious! I totally recommend checking it out and I’m definitely going back.
