When I looked at the Google reviews for this ramen shop, I was genuinely curious. Some criticized it as worthless, while others praised it highly. Anyway, I wanted some soup noodles today, but the options in the Big Bear Lake tourist area are limited, so I decided to try this. Although it sells ramen, the owner isn’t Japanese, so don’t worry about whether it has Japanese flavor. It’s a bit pricey, but that’s typical of tourist areas. The Japanese ramen was actually quite good, and surprisingly, the portion of chashu pork was incredibly generous. While it wasn’t traditional Japanese chashu, the taste was decent. As for the Taiwanese beef noodles, the broth wasn’t up to par, but even Taiwanese people aren’t always able to make this kind of food well, so I don’t understand why they would force themselves to. Overall, I think this is a fast-food restaurant. The environment is clean and tidy, the food isn’t cheap, but the portions are generous. You need to use a machine to order; ask beforehand if you have any questions. If you can accept these things, you shouldn’t have any major problems when you visit.

Tried Bear Noodle Ramen and really enjoyed it! The ramen tasted amazing and was very flavorful. The ambiance was nice and relaxing. I liked that you can choose your own broth and protein. I tried the whisky shoyu broth with grilled chicken and tofu, and it was delicious. Overall, a great place with great food.

Everything here is simply good! If you’re craving hot noodles or comforting soup noodles, every choice on the menu is delicious and satisfying and ofcourse there’s more room for improvement!

The server is incredibly friendly and hardworking—even though she was working alone, she managed to serve everyone with a smile, kept the restaurant clean, and made the whole experience feel welcoming.
I forgot to ask her name, but she was truly amazing.

If you ever find yourself in Big Bear, don’t miss out on visiting Bear Noodle Bar. It’s definitely worth trying!

Tasty Ramen for the cold weather. Had the miso with pork, noodles are pretty good! The meat had good flavor and was soft but it was a little on the dry side. Overall very tasty. I like the fact that they have the self order kiosk. The service was pretty fast, there wasn’t a lot of people when I came in. A little pricey but so is everything else in big bear.

Great food, easy and fast service. Don’t gotta wait long and you get delicious ramen to the table. Spicy dumplings was to craze for along with the Taiwanese noodle soup. Make sure to get it spicy!

My hubby and I had to try this place- I was a local for 15 years then we moved to Seattle and we only visit a handful of times a year. We love supporting small businesses in town but we won’t be back. I was told the woman who works there was great. The food honestly was really good and looked amazing , we really enjoyed it up until we started looking at it – I was pretty scared to eat it after I cut open part of my chicken and every single piece was pink. We ate what we could then threw the rest away. $50 for food we ended up throwing away because we didn’t think it was safe to eat really leaves a bad taste in your mouth.

Solid spot! We tried some vegetarian options, and they were surprisingly hearty and flavorful. Definitely enough to feel full and satisfied. Everything went smoothly, and we enjoyed our time there.

Never have i been to a place that had big portions on an appetizer. Idk if i got lucky and the chicken just happened to be huge that night. Wow factor for sure and the taste was great. Also the ramen was delicious and drank up that soup right away. Staff were really nice and hard working, so be patient and respectful. The food will come and it’ll be worth the wait, if it happens to be busy.

Located in the village. We stopped by for an early dinner and was empty inside. I ordered a whiskey shoyu ramen with crispy tofu. Spouse had the miso ramen with grilled chicken since pork belly was sold out. We ate inside, however it felt a bit stuffy and had lots of flies around. I enjoyed the crispy tofu as was made fresh. Ramen had a lot of noodles and toppings were good, however felt the broth for both were okay.
