We were looking for a restaurant halfway between Duluth and the Twin Cities and came across this place based on the reviews—so we decided to give it a try. We’re so glad we did!
When we arrived, we were greeted by the woman working behind the bar. We told her there were eight of us, and she happily helped us move tables together so we could all sit as a group. I’m sorry I didn’t get her name because she truly deserves recognition—she was fantastic! She made great menu recommendations, and everything we ordered was a hit.
We started with the artichoke dip and pickle fries with homemade ranch—so good! Our burgers and sandwiches were all delicious, and the pretzel was amazing as well.
Wonderful service, great food, and a welcoming atmosphere. We will definitely be back!

Celebrated a birthday which included both Twin Cities and Duluth folks, so we met ‘halfway’. The positive reviews were what brought us here, and we were not disappointed. We were a little worried when we only saw one server, but she was FANTASTIC, both timely and extremely personable. We had a 4 apps and 6 sandwiches and all but 1 were rated ‘great’. Burgers were a hit; onion rings and the spinach dip appetizer were fabulous. We all said we would come back.

What a fun spot. Worth the drive off 35 on the way up North. Had a variety of appetizers and burgers. Everything was good! Server was quick and fun to chat with.

We enjoy stopping here for lunch, snack w beer and dinner. I had there fish and chips. Great flavor and not greasy. Another time 5 of us had burgers, fries and onion runs with beers. Recently we stopped for buffalo wings and beer. Just a snack. The wings came in 6 ? Flavors to choose from. The service and atmosphere always great. Told us coming out with home made soups and a few other new meals for fall. Be sure and stop. Sorry no photos
Well they have remodeled since Covid-19. What a great job they have done. Stopped for lunch with grandson. Fish sandwich, philly beef sandwich, cheese burger. At time safe as tables spaced and outdoor patio. They have sanitizer station. The servers did not wear masks. Great new bathrooms.

Stopped here on a Sunday evening after playing at the casino. Ordered the appetizer of the month (cheddar pretzels, pictured), a blt, a chicken sandwich, and a few drinks. Service was okay. There were only three other tables besides us, but it took a while to get our menus/drinks. Our drinks were inconsistently poured (second WAY different tasting than the first), sat empty for quite a while, and the appetizer arrived with only 5 small pretzel bites and no sauce. They tasted good, though, and so did the sandwiches, coleslaw, and fries. Prices were fair for what we got besides the appetizer.

After the Section golf tournament, a number of parents were looking for a place to grab some lunch in the area. We decided to make the short driver from Hinckley over to Bear Creek Tavern, and boy were we happy we did.
We were greeted right away by the staff. Entire team from the wait staff to the bartender to the cooks handled the group with ease.
Food was really good. Service was even better!
