Was not crowded. Staff was real friendly and helpful. My wife and I both got the 3 piece plate. Got ribs, brisket as and sausage, also got some smoked bologna. The meat was very moist and had good smoke flavor. The drawback was it was very fatty and it was a little pricey.

Awesome food, awesome service. My family absolutely loves this place. Their greens, cornbread and green beans are amazing. My fork fell and I finished them with my finger. I gave 4 stars cause they had no cake, no mac and cheese and the smoked chicken was a little too smoked and we could not chew the skin. The brisket was amazing and the ribs fell right off the bone.
Google asked for an update and it’s been over a year since my original post. Food is still delicious with new things added. Bouidan was delicious and spicy.My 3 year old loves their greens. Their brisket is thick and juicy. Service was fast and friendly. I love this place.

I propose that Google provide negative ratings. If that were available for this review I would rate this experience -3 at minimum. My husband and I appreciate the owner Keisha (unsure of spelling) for taking the time to speak with us about our let’s just say, less than stellar experience. Customer service/customer relations was clearly absent. My husband requested more ice in his tea, as there was not a balance of ice vs. tea. The person behind the counter attempted to charge us a $1 for more ice. Really?? We paid for our meal up front so clearly I couldn’t get the $5 tip back that my husband left.
To whomever is reading this, my apologies for not taking a pic of all the trash that littered the ground out front. So, why did we patronize this establishment to begin with?
1) the overall review score wasn’t bad.
2) sometimes hole in the walls have really good food.
3) inspite of all the baggage, I love my ppl and always try to support them but we as a ppl MUST do better.
In spite of the owners attempts to rectify the situation (which we appreciate) Here’s my honest review:
The food was descent. Prices reasonable. The service was terrible to the point of becoming rude, irate and confrontational. Inside & outside the establishment was exceptionally unclean to include the bathroom. The seating area is small and uninviting. The appearance of the individual who took our order was absolutely inappropriate for the workplace (hair bonnet). (See pic)
Unless you do better we will not be returning.

I used Door Dash service for delivery. Delivery driver was great…but I paid $85. $14 tax and fees. Delivery fee $5.99, plus a tip of $10.00. So $55 for food, for 2 pounds of pork ribs, a half pound turkey, 3 six ounce potato salad, 2 banana puddings. Meat is super tuff and has so much pepper and strong seasoning on it you can’t eat it. The turkey was seasoned the same, but our dog loved the turkey. She did not eat ribs, just buried them!
When I opened the banana pudding , it smelled bad. Looked good but smelled bad. Since this is My husband’s favorite dessert, he tasted the banana pudding and said it is soured.
So when you can’t eat the main course of meat and the dessert, then there is a problem. However for the potato salad it was really good. Thus the one star.
My family and I “do not” recommend this place.

I tried this place today. First off, the Junk Yard Dog has increased from $25 to $35. You can barely taste the potato. It’s just a pile of meat on a plate. The potato had chicken bones throughout. The rib placed on top of the potato tasted nothing short of lighter fluid. The potato was horrible. I made a special trip to this restaurant and drove an hour to feel disgusted after trying to digest this plate. After eating parts of this potato, l kept burping a lighter fluid taste. Disgusting!!

Stopped in for the first time and tried a rib basket. The ribs were good, fries were basic and seeme microwaved. I would love to leave a review on the cucumber salad I ordered as my side but they forgot to include it in my order….not sure if I’ll be back
