We had such a fantastic experience with Bear City Fudge at the Mum Festival in New Bern! The staff was so friendly and helpful. We ended up visiting the shop after going to their booth and I’m so glad we did. The customer service was amazing, and the shop itself is absolutely adorable. The ice cream and fudge were both incredibly delicious! We will definitely be back for more sweet treats.

Walking through downtown and saw the plaza where the store is located! Very nicely decorated and inviting – specially now during Xmas.
Inside it’s a blast from the past! It feels they have conserved many of the original styles of selling candy.
They have fudge, ice cream, chocolates and candy and drinks & probably more which I’ll check out next time.
Service is very nice, all staff was very welcoming and friendly. We bought a few chocolates with different insides, they all looked so amazing.
Give them a visit if you’re in the area, you’ll be in for a sweet treat! They are generous to let you try the fudge too! I tried the turtle and wanted to just bite into the entire thing

This adorable little shop behind the Santa House called Bear City Fudge served me the BEST hot chocolate I’ve ever had. It was packed and a little chaotic, but the young staff was so sweet and helpful. They let me sample several fudge flavors, and the Chewy Praline was an instant favorite!
I also tried their Bear Claw — chocolate fudge with caramel, pecans, and cashews shaped like a claw. Like a giant pecan turtle, YUM!
Next time I’m in town, I’ll be back for their craft ice cream. The line was out the door, even though it was cold out. Looking foward to the next visit.

Wonderful everything – the ice cream, the candies and the employees! And located in beautiful downtown New Bern. Stopped in after afternoon lunch date with family and it was a great decision. Great wonderful flavours, I had the banana split with black cherry ice cream, banana pudding ice cream and vanilla.. it was delish! They offer a variety of fudge and candy assortments for any sweet tooth cravings. The employees were very personable and helpful and made this an experience beyond its treats. They have a few tables outside along a beautiful scenery view of local downtown New Bern, made great and a perfect day! Highly recommend!

Excellent service, gave me samples to be sure I wanted the fudge. Cute shop and I will be back to get me some Turtle Gophers! Got a Praline and it was very good. The brown sugar like coating reminds me of Brown Sugar Fudge, Penuche, from South America! Delicioso! Those French and Spaniards and Swiss and Germans. Lots of yum going on!

Walked the historic downtown and found this cute shop. If you like fudge, this is should be on your list. We bought a sampler of 3 flavors and they were all good. Too cold out to get ice cream, but that just means another trip here in warmer weather.

My teeth hurt just walking in here. Fudge, ice cream, old-fashioned candy. There’s definitely something for everyone here. It’s a cute shop next to the Bear Plaza and is probably packed during the summer. Great job on the decorations and selection Bear City Fudge Company.

This is a great spot for fudge or ice cream in downtown New Bern. There is a comfortable and quaint seating area outside where you can relax and enjoy your treat. It was hot out and I wanted a waffle cone, but asked for a cup also, and they were happy to oblige my request.

If you have a sweet tooth, this is the place you want to be! They have such a large selection of fudge and confections! Plus they have a ton of candy jars where you can purchase individual wrapped candied as well! And if you just eant ice cream or a shake they have that covered too! Great staff! Amazing prices!
