I ordered a brisket dinner with “disciple” beans and mac & cheese. ($21) The brisket was tasty and flavorful but different than I expected. The mac & cheese was good, and the beans were excellent Serving sizes were decent. The friendly lady at the window was very nice. Overall, I was pleased with my dinner A dinner roll with the meal would have been nice, though.
↪️ When I go for BBQ, I usually choose pulled pork or pork ribs. Today, I thought I’d mix it up and try brisket for the 1st time. I’ve seen brisket plenty of times, so I was surprised when I opened the styrofoam clamshell and found this brisket was chopped in small chunks and grey. It was tender and tasty, just not what I expected.
The brisket I’ve seen before was thinly sliced with a pink smoke ring.

Sadly… The Beans have retired! They were the best Pit smokers around! I loved their Beanswick stew ! I wish Mr and Mrs Bean well!

Always a great lunch at Bean’s Pillar of Smoke BBQ!! My “Go To” is the pulled pork sandwich. Best bbq in Crystal River area!! Gordon really likes the brisket and their collards. Miss Bean is always a pleasure to see and Miss Donna is queen of collard greens. Open Thursday, Friday and Saturday 11:30 am until sold out. They have picnic tables to eat there. Located between Love Honda and Love Motorsports. Support Local Business!!

This is a community spot. Locals, and anyone in the know goes here. Food was great, price was right, portions are enough to keep ya coming back. Real southern BBQ and charm. As a heads up hit up a restroom before venturing. No on-site facilities.

Pass this place all the time.. finally stopped and got a pulled pork barbecue sandwich with some spicy barbecue sauce and awesome hand made slaw. Also have excellent homemade tea and I get half and half with a touch of homemade lemonade. The people are soooo nice too! Great food and great service!!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

My trash can really enjoyed the flavors because that was disgusting….the only thing edible was the bun but couldn’t stomach it because it tasted like the pulled pork burnt charcoal potato salad was salty and had to much vinegar if I would have know that I would have bought PB and j at the store had to go to bed without eating after working all day….trash can loves it .. the only dishes I would recommend I just couldn’t put it on there because I couldn’t find syrophom it was the only thing that was not desiving
