I really wish I could recommend Beans & Bagels. Unfortunately, I can’t. Neither my girlfriend nor I had a positive experience. We had breakfast at 10:30AM on a Sunday. The restaurant was busy but not crazy busy. Outdoor dining was full as was the front dining room, however, there were three empty tables in the back section. When we arrived there were four people waiting for takeout and three in line to order. Okay, so maybe it was crazy busy for this relatively small restaurant/coffee shop. So what led to our poor experience?

Super cute place. Very small and super crowded, so you know it’s good! I got a hot cafe caramel mocha and it was really tasty, not too sweet, could still taste the coffee. The blueberry muffin was very good. Prices weren’t crazy high.

I ordered an everything jalapeño bagel toasted with cream cheese and the bagel itself was delicious and not too doughy, healthy dose of cream cheese. I also ordered a hot caramel latte which wasn’t overly sweet and looked amazing. It’s a super cute shop down a beautiful street lined with trees. There is plenty of paid parking off the street.

This is a one of a kind coffee & bagels joint. The atmosphere is amazing. The food is delicious and the coffee is even better. It’s a location you have to try. I started making this a go to Sunday after church stop.

The time change threw us off but it truly worked in our favor. We are still exploring Frederick and this was upon a recommendation. What a gem! This was a pre-birthday brunch for my husband and he was immediately hooked by the Steelers decor. Even better was the amazing food and the laid back atmosphere. This place feels like home

It’s wonderful to have local coffee shops like this plus great bagels and other food. I enjoyed a cappuccino in a flat ceramic mug with stiff foam and a lox & cream cheese bagel sandwich. They have a long menu for breakfast and lunch with options for every diet including vegan. There is a tilt toward dark roast for the coffee which is fine by me.
