Old school and true coffee shop. Warm, practical, humorous with an all around lovely vibe. Food was delicious, coffee, which is fresh roasted, was very good. But most of all, the atmosphere of the shop-its dedicated and engaged staff, and the humanity-forward sensibilities make this a must visit.

Five stars across the board. The food is absolutely delicious, the environment is always clean, bright, and relaxing to sit in, I especially love being able to go into the back room and sit near the roasting machine, its so neat to look at. My favorite drink is the Vietnamese Iced coffee, its a perfect blend of sweet and bold and it pairs well with a curry salad sandwich and chips, all for a great price. They sell locally made bakery items and support local coffee production, if you are looking for the quintessential Louisville coffee shop experience, this is the place to go.

We love Bean!!! My wife and I have been visiting Bean since day 1 and as our family has grow over the years we now go with our kiddos now at least once a week. Great Coffee, great smoothies and sandwiches, and the staff are always friendly and fun. Highly recommend.

By far the best coffee shop you can find in Kentucky. They roast their own beans in house and partner with local businesses to bring you quality food. The staff is always warm and welcoming and you can lose yourself in the cozy atmosphere they have in the back. I’ve tried a lot of coffee shops around Louisville but Bean always feels like home.

It’s such a privilege to live so close to bean. Any type of business that puts community first will have my support. Besides their killer coffee (which I can smell whenever Billy roasts) and their health conscious food options, it’s their staff that makes this place such an important neighborhood staple. 11/10

Slightly visually busy. Definitely eclectic. Assuredly calming and pleasing. Not your average cafe. Only on street parking and very limited seating… however… the coffee, tea, and food menu selections are extensive so a trip here is warranted! Some local artist items for sale as well as the shop t-shirts, cups, mugs, stickers and other items.
Please go and enjoy! It will not disappoint

Today I learned that this little gem is right down the road from my favorite Kroger! Great coffee, fast and friendly staff. Sign on the door requiring masks. Quiet inside, with a cute and quirky atmosphere. Outdoor seating off the sidewalk as well. The menu gave great, helpful descriptions of drink options for us non-connoisseurs. Their cortado was delicious. I’ll definitely be coming back to check out their food menu.

I go and try any coffee places in the state of Kentucky and surrounding states. This one stands out above them all. Incredibly friendly staff, a wide selection of options. The BEST breakfast burrito and dipping sauce. The coffee is amazing too, I normally go with a hot mocha that never disappoints, other things I have gotten are delicious too. I very much enjoy trying their blends of coffee beans at home so far my favorite is the “morning bike ride” blend. The corner spot makes it a very cool location and gives a friendly neighborhood vibe. I feel like I am on an episode of “Cheers” every time I walk in, if “Cheers” was set in a coffee shop;)
