The quality of the Kobe roll we ordered was embarrassing. Sloppy execution, the tuna was spit out of your mouth atrocious with it being slightly warm(despite them including a plastic bag of ice) and had horrible color. You can see in the pics and it makes you wonder how old the sushi is.
This will be the last time we order from this place.
So far this is one the my favorite Chinese restaurants in the area.
July 2023 == Time for a significant update and upgrade. It’s been years since my last visit, and while the staff is the same (I recognized a couple of the servers!) the food has certainly gone through upgrades. Maybe we ordered better choices?
We decided to try the vegetarian sushi platter and it was a gorgeous combination of five different rolls presented in a pretty manner on a grey plate that complemented the vibrant colors of the rolls (see attached pictures). The salad that came with it was the standard one you get at all Sushi and Hibachi ones with the standard ginger-based sauce. However, the miso soup was really good. It was NOT the clear broth that is mostly salt – in this one you could really taste the seaweed and see the cloudiness – also, lots of pieces of Tofu.
The Chinese dishes that we tried included the Hot and Sour soup – which unfortunately was neither (Chili Oil helped on the hot side). For the entree we ordered the Portabello Mushroom in House sauce and it was rich, flavorful, and yummy. Served beautifully and on top of brown rice (small upcharge for the rice) and it was really tasty.
The whole meal was relatively inexpensive – especially since almost half of it came home with us as leftovers!

This place must be suffering from an identity crisis. They have the standard Chinese menu items. It is supplemented with a standard Sushi menu. But then they sprinkled in some Thai dishes as well. While the variety is great, it unfortunately also means that nothing is done particularly well.
The place is well decorated and kept although the staff seemed a little confysed during my visit. It did not help that they wanted to rush me through. While i was reading through the menu, they came by three times to see if i was ready to order.
Once ordered, the food came out in very quick order. Kitchen must have been just sitting and waiting! Unfortunately, they got my order wrong in their haste.
Side note – why the rush? The place was half empty???
I asked for extra spicy on a dish that was supposed to be spicy, so it came out mild and sweet. Sigh. decent flavor, not not what was advertised.
Prices are not expensive and in line with others in the area.
