While on a business trip to Augusta, my colleagues and I had lunch at Beamie’s. The restaurant is in a good location in downtown Augusta. I ordered the Jambalaya bowl. This is a dish that I eat once a year. It was delicious. The price was only $11, and it was a generous portion size. I was impressed with Beamie’s and would come back.

Delicious seafood! Grilled shrimp were seasoned and cooked perfectly. The oysters on the half shell were so fresh and wonderful. Unfortunately our server was incredibly unnatentive and slower than molasses. I would go back for the delicious food though.

Food is great. Service was a little slow but the food was worth the wait. Great atmosphere and the staff was excellent. Feels like a seafood shack that was ripped from the coast and placed in downtow with Augusta. Amazing!

My first time here was a memorable experience all around. I took my grandmother here for her birthday dinner and my first time here. We got there about 5:30 on a Friday and were able to sit right down which was nice. To make a long story short; waitress over shared work drama multiple times, food was super delayed like waited an hour for food because of the waitress’s mistake but food was very fresh and tasty. Overall, I don’t know if I would dine in again but food was good.

Giving three stars because service was great and the crawfish were delicious, everything else was mediocre at best. +.5 star because I they have a nice fish tank.

We called ahead to inquire if they were dog friendly and they said they were. Upon arrival we didn’t see any outdoor seating however. Imagine our surprise when we were seated in a fully enclosed air conditioned patio. Major props for allowing dogs. The service was average but the server couldn’t answer basic menu questions like is the slaw vinegar or mayo based and whether their sauces and dressings were made in house. The food was ok. The cole slaw is very sweet. No one at the table cared for the skin on mayo based potato salad. The fries were crinkle- my favorite- but a missed opportunity as they weren’t seasoned at all. Some Old Bay on them would have been amazing. Beamies cocktail sauce tasted homemade with a delightful punchy kick of horseradish and the blue cheese dressing was quite good as well. We had fried pickles and they too were average. I’ve had better and worse. My plate ($25) was a bit small I felt. It was a combo shrimp & oyster plate. The shrimp were WAY overcooked as in tough and chewy. The oysters were so small they tasted like globs of breading and nothing else. I tasted a scallop off someone else’s plate and they were far from fresh. Definitely tasted off. Had it been my plate I would have sent it back. The breading was done while the scallops were wet as it completely came off the scallop in one piece. None of the fried food was seasoned. The side salad was a fresh mixed lettuce and that was a pleasant surprise as I’m not a fan of iceberg nor romaine. It was dressed w 2 grape tomatoes, a sprinkle of cheese and some haphazardly cut cucumbers. One issue that simply reflects poor management and indifferent ownership is the side area directly next to the patio where the employees gather to smoke. There were several blackened disgusting mops present and that was a HUGE turn off. Absolutely gross and I hope like hell they don’t use those but I’m betting they do. This restaurant would benefit from a visit from Robert Irvine. Lots of potential if anyone actually cared to make some simple improvements.

Don’t waste your time! My combo platter consisted of gulf shrimp and chicken tenders. This is what came! Two chicken tenders the size of the two tiny hush puppies and the fries were hard and cold and everything was dried out. We weren’t offered any condiments. I asked for ketchup and the waitress just looked at me shocked. I’m used to being offered cocktail sauce or even a dipping sauce for chicken tenders. We were never offered a refill on our waters or beer. Horrible food and experience! Never again! I travel all over and all that I can say is YUCK!

Hallie provided excellent service. She was polite, attentive and provided extra napkins without having to be chased down. She checked in frequently to see if we needed anything else. Hallie made our dining out nice. Thanks Hallie. Keep up the good work .

Shrimp and grits. Really good. I think I wanted the Shrimp to be seasoned differently, maybe in old bay. It was sautéed in something more on the sweet side.

Very nice little restaurant right by the Riverwalk, food was awesome, menu is a little small in my opinion options wise, but both mine and my wife’s meals were great. The service was good, Daral took care of us just fine. It’s mostly seafood as well. Definitely recommend walking the Riverwalk after dinner and a few drinks
